Not a single positive comment there as yet.
People are truly fed up of all this crap.

Quite a few annoyed men too which seems like a good sign.

They've restricted replies, is that new?

Also, 'correct pronouns'? They really mean wrong pronouns😄

dementedpixie · 16/10/2024 16:16

They've switched off replies!

Why doesn’t the NHS just concentrate on taking care of people who are unwell?

Love the comments!

Teamsaction · 16/10/2024 16:23

It's disappointing that practitioner health has signed up to all this nonsense, they were very good when I needed to use them although I was initially put off contacting them due to pronouns on emails etc but after initial emails no further was asked. So don't let it put anyone off using them!

ButtSurgery · 16/10/2024 16:45

Well, that is as good as admitting AGP, no?

Why would I choose to make a man in a frock euphoric by referring to him as a woman?

We don't support the delusions mentally ill people experience during psychosis or hallucination do we? I was certainly taught not to go along with them!

Local NHS groups have made a post about Pronoun Day all across social media.

The responses have been very robust.

Lots and lots of locals have told them what they think of Pronoun Day.

Lots of Americans have - somewhat weirdly - chimed in with various thought terminating cliches. Why they'd be commenting on small local Scottish Facebook groups is anyone's guess.

The NHS bods have eventually resorted to turning off comments and deleting negative ones.

We've all had more than enough, it seems.

Yup. Read the comments under any mainstream article about Stonewall, men in women's spaces etc and the replies are universally scathing and fed up. The majority just aren't buying this nonsense. And for the NHS to be wasting any time & £££ (back office or frontline staff) on pronouns when they fail to provide safe maternity care for women and babies along with shameful waiting lists etc tells us everything about their priorities.

I clicked on the link to the Trevor Project - it’s about euphoria. Several interesting points including, ‘some.. feel affirmed by others confusion at their appearance’. Being happy because you’ve made someone else confused sounds pretty awful to me.

Couldn’t agree more. Totally shameful.

They've switched off replies!

All that means is the number of reposts will start climbing, as people 'quote' the post to add their reply.

Switching off replies never works.

Right on brand though.

In a way it's a shame random Americans are commenting on local nhs services as those nhs leaders who are captured will write it off as "bots" or pile ons to be ignored, not reflective of their local community.

I see a lot of that. it's also as a specific safeguarding loophole when it comes to people who others think are inappropriate working with kids (specifically 👀 someone in the NE of England.)

Initial responses were furious pushback from locals, followed by lots of deletions, and this morning comments are off but there are many insipid 'you go girl' type of supportive comments up, mostly from Americans who've clearly been shipped in to do some preference falsification.

They may think they're managing to make the ideology look more popular than it is, but locals are not stupid and it's astonishing arrogance to think that everyone can't see what's happened.

If you're in local.groups you tend to know who comments. Floods of people who aren't local flocking in to try and sell the Rainbow bullshit just makes it look like some kind of weird American cult, frankly.

SinnerBoy · 17/10/2024 08:45

Hang on, aren't NHS clinical staff supported to treat sick people, not use them to get a buzz off?

FranticFrankie · 17/10/2024 09:22

And the flipping ‘sex assigned at birth’
FFS
NHS get a grip!!!!
