Bonjour.

Mug trimmed and textured. Just a little more drying to do and then I can sponge the lettering all down and leave to air dry prior to bisque firing.

Chapeau!!

ErrolTheDragon · 20/10/2024 12:22

There was some reason for tunnocks on FWR, maybe something like a feminist event somehow got a load of freebies?

Magpiecomplex · 20/10/2024 12:25

Why is it that the more I look at the word "gases" the less certain I am of the spelling? 🤔

That would be the event that led to the chapter 7 title in volume 2 of UTDOD (and yes it is a whole chapter of Tunnocks related poems!!)

Although there may have been earlier events that contained Tunnocks

Even chatgpt did one! It's very much a light relief chapter after a chapter of nicola sturgeon related poems!

AI struggles with lots of things, but it seems to have mastered the art of writing trite poetry... Unless it's postmodern ironic trite, in which case it must be good.

A photo would help...

Absolutely brilliant!

Haggis on tour!

FuzzyPuffling · 21/10/2024 13:33

That haggis is manspreading.

lcakethereforeIam · 21/10/2024 13:35

I'm trying to figure out if that's a clockwise or anti-clockwise haggis. I think that the right leg is slightly longer, which would make it anti-clockwise?

Yep, lowland anti-clockwise.

Bannedontherun · 21/10/2024 14:37

Mmmmmmm tea cakes look tempting….

AI hasn't grasped the notion of scansion, has it? It's useless at counting feet, including metrical onesGrin

lcakethereforeIam · 21/10/2024 14:43

ErrolTheDragon · 21/10/2024 14:29

Yep, lowland anti-clockwise.

Of course. The Highland ones have greater leg length disparity and would also have a scarf.

SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius · 21/10/2024 13:27

Haggis on tour!

Soo, cute!

I'll just wait for it to fall down the steps off the bus, then I'm having it for tea!

How it got off the hill without getting caught is beyond me!

lcakethereforeIam · 21/10/2024 14:47

I think there are actually trans-anti-clockwise haggis, but they/them keep rolling down the hills so rarely survive long enough to breed.

Meanwhile, back in the real world...

Sainsburys Christmas slots open around midnight tomorrow (i.e. 1 day 8 hours time*).

*= open invitation to Marie to tell us discuss whether hours needs an apostrophe.

Anyone know when Tesco ones open?

Sorry i never ever do food shopping not even the on line sort….

ifIwerenotanandroid · 21/10/2024 16:05

Also, somehow today I ended up on strange pages of ebay & found firstly this wonderful account:

https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?item=387286469475&rt=nc&_trksid=p4429486.m3561.l170197&_ssn=craftyoldbugger

They have pages of patterns going back to the 1950's. Brought back memories of poring over pattern catalogues.

And then these bizarre listings of plants which look like animals :-)

Those plants are very weird!
The Bluestocknong in space is cool though. I could have been an astronaut - ESA did a recruitment drive some time ago and I met the requirements. I'm sure they would have overlooked the several extra stone I'm carrying in weight and the extreme lack of fitness...

lcakethereforeIam · 21/10/2024 18:13

They look photoshopped or just....💡! What does AI give you if you ask for cat flowers.

However, I think there is an orchid that looks like Darth Vader.

lcakethereforeIam · 21/10/2024 18:20

Correction, vaguely like Darth Vader

Yes! They are a scam for the unwary. Or for anyone that likes cats, perhaps.

To the treadmill with you! The Bluestocking must have a gym somewhere but I'm guessing it's not very popular. You SHALL go into space.
