Instagram's Threads app algorithms

I have been on Threads for a while now and I only ever get trans-positive posts, nothing at all terfy or defending women's rights. It's trying to make out like it's "the nice place" to counter elon's personal message board but really, do people not have discussions defending women's rights on this or is the algorithm just hiding all that from people including me?
Also is there a way to not promote a reply to all your Instagram follows? DH said it showed him every time I replied to anything which made me not want to write anything, only like stuff.

I don't reply on contentious topics on Facebook for the same reasons. I guess that's just how they like it.

So in the interests of civil debate evil TERFs are silenced? Might be an idea to stick to Twitter/X.

Same, I find it creepy how they'd show to an old university friend that I liked a random post - I value my privacy more so am hesistant to engage on facebook because of that reason. Threads seems to be a bit similar. I like that Instagram doesn't suddenly show posts I've liked to other people who follow me, I hope it doesn't go the same way.
