Receipts or link please or it never happened, also when you say woman do you mean an actual biological female or a male with lady feelings @Christinapple

A cisgender women. Yes I know some here dislike the word cisgender but you did ask for clarification if she is trans or not.

The victim has reported FWSScotland to police.

Biological female would have sufficed.
I'm still waiting for any evidence of your claims.
I must say @Christinapple you seem really good at making wild and disprovable claims but really bad at answering pointed questions and providing evidence

Perhaps my Bing-Duck-Google is broken, but it can’t find me anything at all to substantiate the very serious allegations being made 🤔

DadJoke · 11/10/2024 00:54

“do you know of males competing in the female category in sport? Please tell FWSSport and Sex Matters about them - who they are, which sports, how many positions, medals etc they've stolen from females & injuries they've caused”.

Sex Matters, from their official account want to “map the trans-identified males”

There has been some back-pedalling, but it’s clear this is a witch hunt - a targeted harassment campaign.

Most of them will just be volunteers running sports leagues, and Sex Matters and FWS are effectively encouraging people to go and harass and intimidate them.

This is despicable.

I agree it is serious but I don't wish any brigading to happen as the victim appears to be in a state of distress because of doxxing by FWSSport (now deleted but archives were made) which was reported to police.

Can we talk about the OP topic a little more?

Women’s league tennis. I think 5th division
as we say he is taking a women’s place.
east of Scotland league matches"

Ah yes, and the Gosforth badminton team has a trans woman playing on it, and the Kensington 5 a side has a trans woman on it too stealing medals from the women, and the...

Or have they? I just had a thought. FWSSport are asking the public to send them information on trans women for them to "map". But how do we verify the information that is sent to them? Anyone could make shit up and send anything to them. How will FWSsport ensure it is correct (a principle of the Data Protection Act, remember that? is to ensure all data held is accurate)?

Will FWSsport email clubs and ask them to verify if [name of trans woman a member of the public emailed them about] is a member there? They might want to know it's illegal for clubs and teams to reveal to anyone if their members are trans, they can't do that.

So how will FWSsport know the information they are receiving is accurate or not? Are they going to ask the public to full-on stalk trans women and take photos of them playing sports as evidence?

NitroNine · 11/10/2024 02:03

Data protection applies if people are handing their data over to you to take care of. You’ve a responsibility to handle it properly. For example if FWS have a mailing list, they’ve to keep the information about who’s on it secure.

What FWS are currently engaged in is research. If, to help them with this research, you have to supply them with your personal data, that must be kept securely - eg if they CCd their next email to their mailing list rather than BCcing it, that would be a breach. The information provided must be kept securely, but it doesn’t fall under the same regulations. As when organisations produce methodologically heinous pieces of “research” that set off a global panic about the risk young people with gender dysphoria will kill themselves - the participants’ information would be stored one way & contact details updated etc; & the dumpster fire masquerading as research would also be stored safely but not subjected to any kind of fact-checking process.

And yet again - it is not illegal for clubs/teams to reveal they’ve trans members unless it is the case that i. the member in question has a GRC & ii. the person who discloses that said member is trans became aware of it in an official capacity AND knows they hold a GRC. (Basically, unless someone who’s done a DBS that’s turned up someone has a GRC were to contact FWS, not. illegal. And even then, it wouldn’t be FWS breaking the law, but the numpty who contacted them.)

wincarwoo · 11/10/2024 06:06

@dadjoke your concern only ever goes one way doesn't it.

What's despicable is the erosion of women's sport to appease men.

Stonewall run a campaign encouraging people to report members of staff to their HR for "wrongthink".
It's fine to get people sacked in your workplace for going against Stonewall ideology.
Not fine to actually keep sports safe and fair for women.
I got it.

Yes, but never mind injuring sportswomen, or getting feminists and our allies sacked, or sending death threats, or violently breaking up our meetings.

This is about hurting male feelings! Get your priorities right.

In case anyone takes this post seriously:

(1) Not that it makes any real difference, but the quote is not from SexMatters official account - as has been made abundantly clear above. I think some TRAs get so used to lying they just do it without thinking.

(2) It's not a "harassment campaign", they are not "encouraging people to go and harass and intimidate". There's no possible way to read those things into the quote. It is purely data collection for research purposes.

(3) To collect this data accurately, of course individuals must be identified. If seven people report that there is a male competing in a particular women's sporting event, is that one instance or several? Without collecting names, it's impossible to tell. It would be irresponsible to collect this data in a way that made it impossible to draw meaningful conclusions from it.

(4) "Most of them will just be volunteers running sports leagues" -- this seems wildly unlikely. Many more people participate in sports than organize the leagues or competitions. Almost all of us know the probable motivations of the men involved, and a passionate desire to make tea & biscuits or draw up fixture schedules is not top of the list.

@Christinapple yet again you're misrepresenting the law
ITS NOT ILLEGAL TO reveal if someone is trans, it only becomes illegal IF you found out that they have a grc through work and then reveal their GRC STATUS. NOTHING ELSE IS ILLEGAL!
As for the data protection act none of the information they are asking for is information that falls under the data protection act because THEY ARE NOT ASKING FOR INDIVIDUALS PERSONAL DATA.
Even if they were asking for personal information about the individual transwomen it would be exempt from the act due to the research clause.

So we have you repeatedly wilfully misrepresenting both the GRA and the GDPR whilst making unevidenced and slanderous claims about FWSSPORT and refusing to provide any evidence, which could be done redacting the person personal information. So the only viable opinion that anyone can draw draw from your posts is that you are a lier who is trying to sabotage women collecting data on the number of male cheats in women's sports and the harm its causing women.

We see you @Christinapple and everyone reading this thread can see exactly what you are trying to do. Shame on you

The second quote was from the official Sex Matters account, and the first from a senior Sex Matters worker,

It's a doxing campaign - they want people to contact these small clubs and name the transgender people who play there.

It's not "research". They are asking people to report anonymously. There are ways of doing research ethically. This is not one of them. This is like the EDL asking people to report "non-white" players for "research purposes." I have no doubt we'll get pictures and names of the victims on social media, and they'll be subject to harassment.

Who exactly do you think they will be contacting to get this information? The volunteers who run the clubs. "Are any of your badminton players transgender, or have they ever been transgender?"

This is not the goddamn Olympics. People at a very low level are happily getting on playing badminton or football, no one is excluded, and FWS and SM are just stirring up hatred, because that's why they exist.

ThisBluntPlumDreamer · 11/10/2024 12:16

Who exactly do you think they will be contacting to get this information? The volunteers who run the clubs. "Are any of your badminton players transgender, or have they ever been transgender?"

They'll be using their eyes when competing or spectating. This information is already well-known by the women involved in these sports; the research is to collate it nationally.

The claim that "no one is excluded" is also false. Sports teams by their very nature have a limited number of places. Including a man in a women's team means excluding a woman who should be there.

'I know some here dislike the word'.
I bloody hate it. It's an attempt the erase the reality of biological sex and the meaning of the word of woman. I find its use unnecessary and insulting. If you know we hate it, why do you persist in using it? Is it because women feelings are less important than men's?

And @DadJoke I take it you're a bloke. I'd really appreciate it if you stopped lecturing women about how we should behave. But then, it seems you think that men's opinions are more important than women's opinions.

We do not want men in our sports.
We do not want men in our private spaces.
We are allowed to think this, and to campaign for it to bloody well stop.

I really admire the posters who plug patiently away for women's rights without losing their shit. Thank you all. I am not equal to it, I lose my shit too quickly.

DadJoke · 11/10/2024 12:24

@EdithStourton I am not "lecturing women," I am disagreeing with gender critical people. Agreeing with you because you are a woman would be incredibly patronising. If a single woman on the Feminism forum asks me not to post, I will stop posting.

This is simply a doxing and harassment campaign designed to humiliate trans women. It's entirely possible to research and advocate your position without doing this.

What’s despicable is men and boys infiltrating women and girls sports and denying them a place in their own fucking sport!
I don’t care if policies allow it. Not one decent person would knowingly do this is they have a shit about females.

It's funny, isn't it, at a time when trans activists are threatening women with iron bars, punching women, throwing soup at them, sending them death and rape threats, shouting abuse outside their meetings and so on and so forth, that your bog-standard male rights activist comes on here and pretends to be frightened that the names of trans-identifying men might be made public?

I mean, what does he think women are going to do? Storm over to their houses and tut at them disapprovingly?

wincarwoo · 11/10/2024 12:41

The TRAs disagree with women who don't centre men in absolutely everything even their own spaces and sports.

This is simply a doxing and harassment campaign designed to humiliate trans women.

This is simply a fantasy you've made up. People on here have repeatedly told you the real motivation for this research.

Igmum · 11/10/2024 12:47

According to RA's latest report to the UN 600 sportswomen have been denied 890 medals by inadequate men masquerading as women.

At grass roots level there is already a massive problem of underinvestment in women's facilities and leagues and of women and girls not participating in sport. When the even less adequate men invade women's sport at this level women can no longer change in private, are exposed to significantly heightened risks of injury and lose prospects of winning.

This is an important issue to research and FWS are conducting work that I suspect will be rigorous and which is certainly in the public interest. It also is rather easy to spot most TW so this is unlikely to be invasive since the information needed is in the public domain (I see a big burly 6'4" man playing in a women's cricket team and I'm not breaching anyone's confidence by letting FWS know).

TheEyesOfLucyJordon · 11/10/2024 12:57

Christinapple · 06/10/2024 21:16

Another way of saying "email us who trans people are where they live"?

Is it legal to compile a list of people who have a specific protected characteristic without their knowledge or consent and their details to provide a "map" of them to the public? Will ForWomenScotland be complying with the Data Protection Act regarding this data?

Or is this something Police Scotland should be taking a look into? This sounds like a very dangerous doxxing witch hunt. People who contact them with information on trans people may also be committing a criminal offence.

Nobody's asking for the names and addresses of anybody. FWS is trying to establish which sports teams and organisations are throwing women (the female kind 🙄) under the proverbial bus by allowing males to compete against them!

Still, I'd risk a criminal record to stop this shit. I've given up with #BeKind; to be honest, I'm not sure I ever started with it.

Will all males competing in women's sport kindly fuck off elsewhere. No, I don't care where. And no, I don't care about your feelings.

TheEyesOfLucyJordon · 11/10/2024 13:00

Christinapple · 10/10/2024 22:57

FWSSport are now doxxing a woman with autism.

Funny how gender critical orgs hate women.

What's appalling is how YOU hate women.

Why, in the name of all that's holy, are you going to such lengths to protect men who think they're women? We all know they're not, never have been and never will be. Ergo they don't belong in women's sport.

What's so bloody hard to understand????

Greyskybluesky · 11/10/2024 13:02

This is not the goddamn Olympics. People at a very low level are happily getting on playing badminton or football, no one is excluded

👆Wow. Such breathtaking arrogance and assumptions from a presumably male poster here. The poster has absolutely no evidence or understanding of what women and girls at 'low level' are thinking.

To repeat what @Igmum said, above:
"At grass roots level there is already a massive problem of underinvestment in women's facilities and leagues and of women and girls not participating in sport. When the even less adequate men invade women's sport at this level women can no longer change in private, are exposed to significantly heightened risks of injury and lose prospects of winning."
