Girls in New Hampshire have taken to boycotting games where they’d be expected to play against the male athlete whose school [?board] voted to ignore the State Governor’s ruling that males do not belong in female sport…

Those poor girls having to go along with this blatant disrespect and lack of care for their wellbeing or miss out.

I'm really sorry they have to forfeit their matches because those in authority are actively working to put men on women's teams. I hope it has an effect. I think some of the Flying Bats opponents forfeited which didn't do anything.

It's a kind of progress that this is happening more often, because it garners attention. I agree it's horribly unfair on the girls, though.

It’s incredibly telling, isn’t it, that a school board would vote to allow a lad to keep smashing female athletic records & risk the literal smashing of girls in contact sports. I don’t think it’s all about being progressive & OTRSOH, somehow - they’ve an eye to grabbing up the scholarships & other opportunities. Feckers.

I think the good thing is that people are feeling braver about speaking out. People are starting to realise that the majority of people don't want men in women's sport.

3rd college volleyball team refuses to compete against transgender opponent, forfeiting game

Brooke Slusser, a co-captain of San Jose's women's volleyball team, joined 18 other athletes in suing the NCAA over its current gender identity policies. The lawsuit alleged Slusser, who transferred to San Jose, felt concerned for her safety after realizing one of her new teammates was transgender.

Slusser claimed she was not aware that Fleming was transgender despite sharing rooms together on team trips, per the court documents. Slusser also expressed safety concerns for opponents playing against Fleming.

I can’t understand why sporting bodies are punishing women and girls for objecting to competing against males (for example in darts, pool, and the Australian women’s football league.)

I also don’t understand why the males were never asked to provide evidence that their sex would not be an advantage or a deterrent to woman and girls wishing to compete - males were just waved on in and now it’s fallen on women and girls to bring evidence of unfairness to the regulatory bodies or to boycott males in their sports because of this unfair treatment.

Women are being punished for wanting to exercise their rights and for expressing themselves.

Oh Utopia mon chou - the men in power (helped by the odd woman here & there whose kindness conditioning meant they flung wide the door rather than barricading it); acted in the interests of the male people claiming their genderfeelz negate the reality of their sex. It all just underlines that trans women are not women - the patriarchy works in their favour while simultaneously battering women.

I don't think many of the men involved in women's sport do it out of any interest in women's sports. It's just a way for a man to exercise power over those he perceives as weaker than him. I say that as someone who spent over thirty years involved with women's football. In that context, opening the door to female identifying male players is no big deal. Who cares?

Good for the protesters. Every woman and girl who speaks out makes it that bit easier for others to have the courage too. Disgusting that some are being penalised. But the fact that others persist shows that women are making headway.

I wonder what the stats on all this show:

How many times has a team gone undefeated?

How many women players in the league are over 6 foot tall? (I read a piece supporting the transgender player's team that said they have 5 women over 6 foot in the team)

What are Blaires stats (kills etc) compared to other current and previous players?

I'm worried that the usual "but the trans player isn't that good" arguments will be trotted out. It doesn't change anything but muddies the waters for people less involved.

It has made me consider further what a poster upthread said - How many coaches see a transgender player as a great way to demonstrate your wonderful progressive values whilst also winning everything in sight? It's a win-win for an ambitious coach and a male coach probably doesn't really care about destroying women's sports.

OMG I'd wake up everyone I could. If I had to share a room with a - let's say someone with a body not like mine - I'd freak out. If "he" is happy for me to see "him" in states of undress in the bathroom, that is up to "him", BUT HE SURE AS H£LL IS NOT SEEING ME.

Is there a Democrat politician in the US brave enough to stand and say, this wrong and has to stop? And of course, more from famous sportspeople would help.

Tonight’s women’s volleyball match between San Jose State University and Colorado State University will be monitored by droves of armed police after one of the San Jose players received a chilling death threat. The threat is believed to be a direct response to Brooke Slusser’s support for single-sex sports.

On September 24, OutKick reported that Slusser had signed onto a lawsuit against the NCAA for allowing males to compete in women’s collegiate sports. The suit, which is being backed by the Independent Council On Women’s Sports (ICONS), charges that the NCAA knowingly violated the federal statute which guarantees equal opportunity for men and women in college education and in sports.

She is a one brave woman!

Uggh. It's just sickening. Don't accept men in your sport or we'll kill you.

I have no idea how the Democrats can justify this and see it as progressive? Can anyone enlighten me as to how this works?

Because it doesn’t affect them personally. Because it doesn’t affect their DDs. Because they don’t think about the wider implications for girls and women. No skin in the game means you can blissfully support a progressive cause (because you are an amazingly progressive democrat) with no whisper of conscience at exposing your own DD to unfair play, loss of scholarship opportunities, or the possibility of life altering injuries.

I just don't get how anyone with half a brain doesn't truly understand/acknowledge or believe how much of an advantage and impact that males - however they identify- have over girls/women sport.

Their need to be inclusive is blinding them to the fact that it excludes every single female and is at its core incredibly sexist and against a females human right to fairness.

How many trans identifying females have invaded male sports/award/scholarships...etc ...because I bet it's absolutely none.
