Near end of month list of gardens needing extra plants.

Protect single sex facilities at work has a hearing in early October. Funding for that hearing was quickly donated. There is a stretch target and if the claimant is granted anonymity we need to dig deep for this. Naomi Cunningham will be representing Faye.

Transparency In Schools - FOI Appeal To Access Secret Lesson Plan had an upper tribunal hearing on 16th and 17th September 2024. No update on the case but tribunal tweets says judgement reserved. tribunaltweets.substack.com/p/foi-appeal-to-access-secret-lesson

Andreas Mueller is a Public servant sued for saying sex is binary. The preliminary phase of the case is scheduled to begin in mid- to late October. Initial target was reached rapidly, there is now a stretch target.

Pilgrim Tucker, a PhD student, is still Challenging Bullying and Discrimination at the Open University. Target reached but still open to donations and that target may need to increase.

Simon Chambers was Assaulted and refused service at a pub for supporting women’s rights. There are 23 claimants in this action. There was a Review of the cases before the County Court Judge in Belfast on 16th September 2024 but no update on what happened.

Linzi Smith was banned and spied on for her beliefs. Linzi is a Newcastle United fan banned from the club. Letters before action were sent to Newcastle United and the Premier League in May, no update on their response (if any).

In Defence of Academic Freedom by Adult Human Female is an employment tribunal case* *against UCU for unlawfully discriminating against academics and the directors of the documentary because of their protected 'gender critical' beliefs. A long way from target.

Almut Gadow is suing the Open University - standing against indoctrination and for academic freedom Her lawyer is now at Doyle Clayton, who represented Maya, LGB Alliance and others. Hearing will be in Feb/March next year and the OU need to see women will go on fighting. Some nice donations fairly recently, more still needed.

Help Sarah’s Legal Challenge to Secure Female Only Rape Crisis Therapyfinally got past the £100k.this month, more still needed.

Mrs A wants people to help me ensure my child doesn't medically transition outside the NHS She has been given leave to take her case to the Court of Appeal and that needs a large target.

Eleanor Frances was victimised after whistleblowing over Civil Service impartiality. Initial target reached but stretch target.

Ursula Doyle was hounded out of my job in publishing and has a stretch target. The final hearing will take place next year, from the 8-17 September 2025.
Sara Morrison is bringing a Discrimination case against Belfast Film Festival The case has been listed for Hearing for 5 days, commencing on 13th January 2025.

You can still Help Emma sue David Lloyd - garden is not in the usual place and she is less than half way to target.

Emma Bateman has been expelled from the Green party yet again, Look for The Green Party must respect our sex! It's a long way from target.

Amelia Sparrow is Challenging Bullying and Harassment in the Liberal Democrat Party. The Lib Dems have admitted they were at fault with Natalie Bird, remedies hearing in August. Hopefully the lawyers in Natalie's Bird case can refer to the continued problems in the remedies hearing.

Let women play pool! has a stretch target, not even half way yet but no way to donate.

Giggle's garden can be found by googling Giggle crowdfunding. An Australian court so different laws and a large appeal target.

As always please remind me of anyone I've overlooked. If the nurses suing the NHS over changing rooms and Sharar Ali, who has been expelled from the Green Party again, are asking for support I havent seen it but the protect single-sex facilities at work case would, if won, help the nurses. Sharar Ali won his last case.

Thank you. So useful

Igmum · 28/09/2024 13:09

Thanks @anyolddinosaur so distressing to see how many women (and men) have been bullied by these activists - and this is the tip of the iceberg. Will sort out some nice veggies

anyolddinosaur · 28/09/2024 14:40

Fortunately the success rate is good - and I suspect getting better.

Personally I'm holding back part of what I'd normally donate for Protect single sex facilities at work if anonymity is granted.

And apologies to Sarah Morrison for forgetting the italics on Discrimination case against Belfast Film Festival.

Thanks for the updates, I've already contributed to a number of them. I'll have to see what I've got spare.

morningtoncrescent62 · 28/09/2024 15:31

Thanks, OP, I'd totally lost track of all these. I've concentrated my September gardening on the two university vegetable plots, because the reach of universities is so vast - they're training the next generation of the workforce.

FarriersGirl · 28/09/2024 15:58

Gosh, as a relative newcomer to this area of MN I had not realised how many cases were pending. Have done some gardening for Faye this month but I have also cancelled a dd to a charity that seems to have got itself caught up with TRA so that will free up some regular vegetables for planting.

anyolddinosaur · 29/09/2024 11:16

Legal action takes a long time, hence cases appear for a long time. Sarah has already waited a ridiculous amount of time and the last update in August she still didnt have a court date!

One extra - the Party of Women are starting to plan for the next council elections and looking for funding.

Thank you so much @anyolddinosaur Flowers

We were initially hopeful about getting my case (the rape crisis case) listed this year but it looks like it will be early 2025 now.

anyolddinosaur · 29/09/2024 19:31

Trying to be positive the delay means more time for fundraising and more time for other cases to come to court. The success rate is good and maybe they will help.

Not sure if this is new but have just seen Centre for Women's Justice is representing to free women who were victims of David Carrick.

Full details of the case can be found on their web site https://www.centreforwomensjustice.org.uk/

Ramblingnamechanger · 01/10/2024 19:34

Thank you for these updates. I think donating is one of the ways in which we can support women in these cases where they are doing the fighting. I regret that the costs are so high , but well worth it to show up the utter misogyny and discrimination that is going on. And the fact that we are winning means we will also benefit. But how many more cases will it take?

BetsyM00 · 01/10/2024 21:16

For Women Scotland - UK Supreme Court: The Definition of Sex in the Equality Act still needs to hit the stretch target. Case is coming up in 8 weeks time, on 26th Nov.

FeralWoman · 03/10/2024 05:49

Sall Grover is officially appealing the Tickle vs Giggle verdict in Australia. I’m sure she’d appreciate some gardening.

Elspeth Duemmer Wrigley “Chair of SEEN sued for saying 'only women menstruate'”

The case against Wrigley herself has been withdrawn but the case continues against SEEN in the Civil Service with potentially damaging implications for all SEEN networks. She's still crowdfunding to defend the Civil Service SEEN and stop it being disbanded.
