Absolutely agree with this. I want to see a judge say 'oh, ffs, take some responsibility' and add to the sentence.

I know they're doing it to try to mitigate what they've done. It seems odd though that this sort of whining in court can see jail swerved completely but, as I understand it, if they try it in front of a parole board it should see them sent back to the cells.

What's so sickening is that women and girls who have suffered just as much if not more abuse in their lives, do not go on to be abusive, or put what they have suffered forward as justification for behaving in a sub human way.

It is just part of the whole double standard over how men are judged and how women are judged.
