KJK at Sheffield - another soup attack

Imnobody4 · 21/09/2024 18:17

This man threw tomato juice, or soup, on Kellie-Jay Keen @ThePosieParker in Sheffield today 21.9.24

It could have been something more harmful.

Vulnerable transwoman?
Or abusive man taking a chance to terrify women?
Who knows?
Just as with every man who says he's a woman.

"Sheffield, England – Ben Lindsay, 34, of Fitzwilliam Street, Barnsley, was sentenced today at Sheffield Magistrates’ Court for assaulting women’s rights activist @ThePosieParker. Lindsay pleaded guilty to two charges: assault by beating and assault by recklessness.
On Saturday, September 21st, 2024, Lindsay was arrested after pouring a tin of vegan tomato soup over Parker during a public event. The incident occurred after Lindsay was pursued by a group of individuals.

Appearing in court, Lindsay, who was represented by a duty solicitor, expressed no remorse for his actions but maintained his belief that his actions were justified. In a letter read to the court, Lindsay stated that he morally refused to apologize to Parker and claimed to support transgender individuals. However, the court rejected these claims, emphasizing that violence is never acceptable, regardless of one’s beliefs.
District Judge (MC) Waite sentenced Lindsay to a total of £565 in fines and court costs. The judge also ordered Lindsay to pay £200 in compensation to the victims.

The incident has sparked debate about the limits of protest and the importance of respectful discourse, even when opinions diverge"

Datun · 25/11/2024 16:55

Good. And good for her for taking it to the wire. The compensation is paltry and meaningless, but now he's got a criminal record.

Plus, according to tribunal tweets, he tried to justify his actions by slagging her off in court. It seems like he's learned nothing. I predict this won't be his last time in court.

SinnerBoy · 25/11/2024 17:08

Telling AIDS jokes, my left buttock. What an objectionable little scrote he is. They should have looked at his notes beforehand and told him he couldn't have his nasty little speech.

lcakethereforeIam · 25/11/2024 17:14

Is there a thread unroll for tribunal tweets? Vegan tomato soup!
He's got very long thin feet in that video of him leaving court. Was he wearing clown shoes?

duc748 · 25/11/2024 17:22

Yeah, 'vegan tomato soup' brought a wry smile. 😀

Totally. 'she doesn't even call herself a feminist' - as mitigation goes, it's dog poo

He is a clown shoe.

I chased down the THUG that poured a can of soup over @ThePosieParker and had him #arrested in #Sheffield #UK #News

Brilliant! Well done, OP. Throwing any liquid over a person is an assault, and deliberately terrifying because it could be corrosive. I’m glad the police and court treated this seriously for once.

thirdfiddle · 25/11/2024 22:44

From Tribunal Tweets: "BL: On the day, I heard her supporters say: that queers should be killed, telling AIDS jokes and shouting "Fuck up the Trannies". I think this is mitigation"

What are the odds this is out and out lies? It has to be doesn't it? That criminal wasn't listening to anything KJK's supporters were saying. DARVO lies.

Of course it isn't true.

Obviously what he did was wrong, but this should be taken into consideration. Hateful speech and threats of violence can and do create fear and high emotions which can affect how people behave. And yes I do believe him, take just one look at gender critical dominant communities like twitter/kiwifarms/facebook LGBAlliance groups and it's full of transphobic violent threats and hateful speech and "memes". Transphobia is real.

So KJK got £100 comp. Happy for her, that should help cover the money she lost to enter the election (if candidates don't receive enough votes to pass a low threshold like KJK, they lose their deposit).

OldCrone · 26/11/2024 06:11

Why? He's obviously made this up. Have you ever attended a LWS event or watched one of the live streams?

The absolute bald faced hypocrisy and hyperbole in this :

Obviously what he did was wrong, but this should be taken into consideration. Hateful speech and threats of violence can and do create fear and high emotions which can affect how people behave.

Um…. Shall we do a collage of each and every protest at a women’s rally / conference / meeting? And a collage of the statements from posters, including a particular poster, about cream pies being nothing more than a comedic moment, nothing to see when silly string or water is sprayed.

And women have not responded with violence yet.

But this statement is pure victim blaming …

Namerchangee · 26/11/2024 06:39

SquirrelSoShiny · 21/09/2024 18:48

Whatever people think of KJK she is an absolute lioness when it comes to defending women's rights.

God these men are always so predictably speccy, beardy and unattractive 🙄

They really are such grim specimens aren’t they.

Christinapple

He went along with a preconceived plan and a carton of soup. It wasn't a spur of the moment thing, shocked by language. I don't believe a word of what he said, he's simply trying to justify his crime.

And I don't believe that LGBA Facebook groups are full of nasty jokes about AIDS sufferers. Unless you can link some, you stand without credibility.

Everything LWS do is live streamed and they have infiltrators in the audience all the time. If anyone had ever said anything like this, rest assured that it would have been filmed, and across social media with at least 10 threads on here about how evil KJK is within a few days of it ever happening.

This is rage harvesting. Someone says that someone said something, it gets quoted by someone else and then referenced in another thing and all of a sudden, this is the evidence it happened.

We see it on here all the time. Now it is written in court documents and will be referenced by people like you who say trite 'Well, you aren't omnipresent so you don't know...' inferring that someone might have said it and if they did, that meant KJK deserved to have soup thrown on her before the event even started.

Did you?
There are 1000’s of videos, photos and social media posts that show without any doubt the threats that the transgender community make everyday.

I know, right? It's almost as if all the TRA accusations are pure, distilled 101° proof bovine excrement, or something.

AlisonDonut · 26/11/2024 08:04

A least we now know that a painting is much more important than a woman.

As in so much more.

BezMills · 26/11/2024 08:07

I'm actually embarrassed for them, that the pp wrote those words.

I'm not sorry that this man got a criminal record for violent offences. His bald brass neckit lies in court give an additional measure of the man, as if needed.

Helleofabore · 26/11/2024 08:32

The blatant misogyny of declaring that women meeting and women’s words were extreme provocation to justify a woman being assaulted is outstanding.

Yes the court should consider that the man had such poor impulse control that when he heard other’s opinions he disagreed with, he couldn’t control his need to silence that opinion. If only misogyny could be added to make it a hate crime.

But yes. It should be published far and wide and often that this man went pre-armed to assault a woman and that upon hearing words he didn’t like, he acted without control. All the provocation that was needed was that a woman whose opinion’s he didn’t like organised an outdoor event he didn’t like.

There is no greater provocation for a misogynist, and those seeking to minimise in any way what he did, fully support that misogyny.
