Having listened to the world at one, I was struck by the fact that these women and girls were examined by medics. It appears that they were screened for std's and hiv, although none were given any results of any feedback. Surely any medic who participated in this was also guilty of assault?

I nearly posted a link to what appears to be the profile of the female doctor mentioned in the documentary, who is currently practising in London, with excellent online reviews.
Then I thought that I shouldn't, in case it was the wrong person - there is in fact a therapist with the same name, bizarrely as it isn't, like, 'Jane Smith'.

I agree with your point, OP, it does sound as if medical ethics and patient confidentiality went out the window, but we'll wait and see what happens to the GP[s] named in the documentary.

In what world is a full sexual health survey, including Cx smear, part of a routine pre-employment check?

If the GMC isn't investigating the doctors involved, they should be.

According to Popbitch, (generally reliable source despite the unconvincing name) one of the employees sent to Occupational Health for a "checkup" was only just 16, and the nurse refused to examine her. But raised the question of what what happened with the other young women.
