Massive relief to see some sanity in the Senedd. Very grateful to all the brave women who have fought hard to stop self ID being pushed through by stealth.

Like the Scottish Government didn’t, Welsh Govt don’t have the legal powers to introduce / legislate for the introduction of self-ID. That’s what scuppered the gender quotas bill.

They have made a public commitment to seeking the devolution of Gender Recognition to Wales.

I guess they will leave that till after the next Senedd elections when there won’t be those pesky constituents to bother them anymore. As, first past the post will be dropped, and there’ll be regional lists of party representatives.
