It is in many respects and I'm pleased that action is being taken.

The issue remains that anyone can create an account and claim to be 13 however.

Parents could just not let their kids go on instagram (or other social media) of course - I don’t. Certainly under 13s.. then it wouldn’t be an issue for most.

Or create an account where you claim to be 18….
