School materials - cis gender and it being offensive

Hi all, I have reviewed the material that is being used in my daughter’s year8 PSHE class and they mention cis gender. I want to explain to them that this is an offensive term.
Has anyone approached this with their school and what did you say?

I would explain that you wouldn't like it taught that it's ok to refer to people as "cisgender" without their permission. Many people do not identify with this label. Politely request that it is offered as an identity just like "transgender" and shouldn't be applied to everyone x
