I disagree conversion practices – the practice of attempting to change an individual’s sexual orientation or gender identity is confusing and misinformed. It reads as though he wanted to be able to try to change a person’s sexual orientation. What he was pointing out is that you cannot change a person’s sex. And as for gender, my understanding is that he wanted to be able to explore why a person felt uncomfortable about their biological sex.

Good to see this covered in the Guardian but I agree it's explained in line with the Guardian's current cognitive biases.

I'm glad he got an apology from the training institute, but it should never have been necessary. Appalling.
