A master class in gaslighting on display from male athlete Caster Semenya, who just announced that he is considering running for president of World Athletics - a regulatory body which disqualified him from competing against women - because, as he says, the "worst part" is that sports are "regulated by men".

Semenya was one of three male athletes with DSDs (differences of sexual development) to cheat women out of a medal at the 2016 Rio Olympics 800m. Not a single woman placed in that event in their own category.During a 20-minute interview with German outlet ARD this week, Semenya, who is a male with internal testes (46 XY 5-ARD) stated his support for male boxers Imane Khelif and Lin Yu Ting.

He also made several outrageous statements, such as:

- Women who oppose his participation in female sports are just expressing an "opinion"

- Testosterone has no affect on his athletic performance

- Sports are never fair

- People should respect Semenya because he comes from an "enslaved continent"

This is absurd.

It's like all of our April Fool's Days have come at once.

I can't believe I felt sorry for this man when it all first kicked off. FFS. The more we see of him the more it is obvious,or seems so to me, that he knows exactly what he's doing and is enjoying it.

He does seem to be morphing into a 'professional DSD suffer' doesn't he.

The end of women's sport, just lots of people with dsd competing. At least that'll be fair, because many will be from enslaved continents. Hey Ho!

When it's no longer financially expedient to be a different type of woman I would not be surprised if CS changes the narrative to how CS was exploited and persuaded by various athletic bodies in to believing she was a woman and now accepts the truth that he is a male with a dsd.

Indeed, and wouldn't be surprised to see Khelif go down the same path.

I'm not sure CS has the brains to do a job like that, tbh. He's not that savvy. I don't say that to be mean at all, some people are not academically bright and there's nothing wrong with that. But apart from the rest I just don't see that role as a good fit.

So, his gonads don't make him less of a woman? What about his disparagement of women, of his othering of women? Is that a typically womanly trait? Or is he just a woman when it's expedient and a not woman when that's expedient?

Help me out here, I'm confused! So many contradictions.

So why did he cry about having to lower his testosterone (before they, World Athletics, changed the rule again to exclude anyone who underwent male puberty, rather than having some arbitrary, far too high testosterone ceiling that the IOC for god knows why still uses and is likely the reason they allow Khelif to participate because Khelif is keeping his testosterone below that limit. It wasn't sourced but I read that Khelif's coach had an independent test in Paris done in 2023 after the IBA disqualification and that's where they learned of it and are keeping to under the IOC limit, again, not sourced but explains why Khelif never claims to not be DSD, just to be a woman).
