The thorny issues of lesbian erasure, the expulsion of radical feminism from academia, and post-traumatic stress disorder in women were top of the agenda for a conference in London recently.

Featuring nearly 40 speakers over two days, the event was run by the Women’s Declaration International (WDI), who describe themselves as “a group of volunteer women from across the globe dedicated to protecting women’s sex-based rights.”

This doesn't seem to have been very widely publicised, but maybe it was aimed at women who are active in various WDIs.

Thank you!
I have been reading The Women Who Wouldn't Wheesht' and it has really brought home to me how much women have been and continue to be silenced. I hadn't even heard of WDI until I read the book.

Thank you for posting these links, OP, I look forward to reading them.

I confess I read the thread title as 'Report of the women's DECATHLON...' - too much Olympics, eh?😄

MarieDeGournay · 04/08/2024 18:36

This being MN where somebody knows everything, I'd better get my correction in first: women do the heptathlon, not the decathlon.😉

In case anyone has used up their free access to the Morning Star here is the archived version of the story https://archive.ph/OUHBl

Although I suppose its a bit mean not helping the one bit of the left that is supportive of women's sex based rights.

I don't know what it is but I really dont like watching platformed speakers on youtube.

But I suppose I could just listen.

Thank you for the report from MOrning Star and linking to the videos. Sounds like a brilliant conference talking about all the issues we know are crucial. I have not listened to all of them but I liked the session about how the Party of Women got on in the elections with KJK Julia and Bernadette. I really hope more women get involved at least at local elections level.

I was supposed to be speaking at this with my friend Emma from Children of Transitioners but we had to withdraw for personal reasons, however I think some of the publicity still had us on. I'm just saying this here as a couple of people have asked me where they can view our speeches.
