I know, my own fault for opening a Metro article and expecting common sense...

On the one hand, lesbian dating apps are full of men and couples and it doesnt feel like a safe space to be... therefore lesbian dating apps need stricter controls to filter out cat fishing, unicorn hunting and cis-men pretending to be women to get cheap kicks out up chatting lesbians.... sounds good!! But also.... stricter controls shouldn't disadvantage non-passing trans identifying males who are just there to flirt with the gals like the rest of us lesbians... 🤦🏼‍♀️

Journalist doesn't say she shares this concern. I think this piece could make some readers think on.

Hmm so they want to get rid of the men who are pretending to be women (ie MEN) but not the men who are pretending to be women (ie TW, aka MEN)

At least there's an article about it in a mainstream newspaper. The narrative has moved on from 'people are who they say they are - no debate'.

I don't think that could have happened last year.
