This is very powerful
wow and the guardian are leading this emotive subject.
im amazed but very relieved ..
seeing as they are a labour paper, this is quite something.
Thank you for sharing

I thoroughly enjoyed that review, thanks for posting it OP.

I’m impatiently waiting for my copy of the book to arrive this weekend - I pre-ordered it months ago and I’m very much looking forward to finally getting to read it 😊

Much better than the Guardian review - even though the book is by a senior Guardian journalist, the paper couldn't bring itself to choose someone sympathetic to review it.

I’ve just read this review in the Graun - by Yvonne Roberts - seemed fairly sympathetic I think? As is usual comments are off!

Thanks, I hadn't seen that - it is a good review. It's from tomorrow's Observer, though. The Guardian review, which appeared a week ago, was by Fiona Sturges. It seems crazy to me that they would allow Sturges, full on TWAW, to review a book that she is ideologically opposed to, when that book is written by a senior staffer at the paper.

Thanks; I hadn’t seen the Fiona Sturges one!
