I think my librarian is a secret TERF

Usually read threads here but don't post, but wanted to share here.
While on maternity leave I've been using my local library a lot. I discovered that you can do purchase requests. I requested Material Girls by Kathleen Stock, really just to see what would happen. I live in Scotland and my council area is the kind of place where everyone has a rainbow lanyard and pronouns in their emails. I work in the local NHS which is the same and so am very quietly gender critical. Anyway within weeks I got a note that it was available for collection! Went to the library and the librarian had to go and get it down from a face out display on the shelves. She told me that individual librarians dont get to choose stock (not sure how it is chosen!) so they're very reliant on members making requests for "the more interesting stuff" . I'm quite pleased and now wondering what else I should ask them to buy...

Most people are TERFS, some just don't realise.

If you are in Scotland ask for The Women Who Wouldn't Wheesht !!

My library is great. I've got Helen Joyce's and Graham Linehan's books from there. I've been waiting for Time to Think by Hannah Barnes for ages because there are loads of reservations on it. I've requested that they order the women who wouldn't wheesht (even though I have bought a copy).

You've just inspired me to reserve a copy of Material Girls from my local library (also in Scotland). Just checked, pleased to see that my council's library also has Women who won't wheest in stock. Just not in my small local one. That'll the next one for me to reserve.

I'm jealous! I've requested heathen forbidden books from my local library, and they don't get bought.
