Ooo look Womanifest.

"The Wellbeing & Empowerment Festival for Women & Teen Girls"

"A celebration of all things female, feminine and womanly".

"We’re on a mission to create a guilt free army of women who have a strong identity, step into their power, own their space, know what they want, shamelessly declare it to the world and go out and make it happen"

But, wait
"It’s also a safe and inclusive space for non binary people and trans women"

Because of course it is.

As soon as you see rainbow colours in a logo you know it will be all about the TQ+
🙄

Most women I know wouldn’t touch this with a barge pole!

Men, however they present themselves, change the atmosphere of a gathering. It’s such a shame.

A friend runs craft workshops and used to do a few women only ones which were amazing, sadly TRAs infiltrated, kicked up a fuss about the woman only part, and sadly she stopped doing them. All her workshops were mixed sex apart from the few women only ones (there was always a waiting list for these), to lose those was a real blow.
At this point I feel like men ruin most things one way or another.

Transwomen have been lied to. They cannot experience an exclusively female event because it ceases to be so as soon as they attend. The women they interact with will be reacting to their maleness, regardless of what the women's feelings on gender id are.

That said, I do know a few men who don't ruin the vibe or dominate when they find themselves in a group of women, but these men would also be the last people to insist they were allowed to attend a woman only festival.

I feel very uneasy about the way teenage girls are advertised on the flyer, when male validation is one of the stated aims of the event.
