"Treasury plots toilet revamp in preparation for the arrival of Rachel Reeves as first female chancellor - with debate raging about whether to remove the urinal"

Presumably Reeves, if made Chancellor, simply needs a shewee and for the sign to state "gender neutral".

This would provide the most cost effective, inclusive and kind solution.

So what did the Chancellor do when he needed a shit?

Hepwo · 02/07/2024 13:45

She's all for mixed sex arrangements I thought?

UpThePankhurst · 02/07/2024 21:44

I am all for Reeves demonstrating her delight in mixed sex toileting by going and using the men's facilities.

I fully support her getting her kit off where and when and with whomever she likes and wish her absolute joy in it. I'll hold her coat. And she can leave alone non consenting women who do not wish to validate men with their bodies. Because providing non consenting women and enforcing their undressing and validating men as the price of them using a public facility ?

Seems somewhere between unhinged and bloody evil.

Boudiccaofsteel · 03/07/2024 15:45

What's sauce for the gander is sauce for the goose. Let her get on with it and see what is being inflicted on the rest of us

mind you that is probably the solution. The GC female MPs need to invade the male loos

Chersfrozenface · 03/07/2024 15:47

Well, yes, why can't she just walk past the urinal like she wants the rest of us women to do?

OvaHere · 03/07/2024 15:49

I presume this is a bathroom for the sole use of the Chancellor? Part of the office?

I guess she will survive the urinal being in there as long as no men are accompanying it.

I'd stick a pot plant in it.

MissScarletInTheBallroom · 03/07/2024 15:50

Totally bizarre.

Is this a toilet which is for the sole use of the Chancellor? If so, why does it matter if there is a urinal? Nobody will be using it during Rachel Reeves' tenure but the next Chancellor might be a man again.

Or is it a general staff toilet which is mixed sex?

The story says "the minister's private toilet".

I imagine that is accurate.

So why does it matter if there is a urinal on the wall? Presumably there is also a toilet.

Well, quite.

As I say, she can just walk past it. At least, it being her private toilet, there won"t be man using it, unlike the toilets she wants us female plebs to use.
