'Scottish Labour has distanced itself from the UK party’s position on a proposed ban on teaching “gender ideology” in schools.
Pam Duncan Glancy, the party’s <a class="break-all" href="https://archive.ph/o/vSYP6/www.heraldscotland.com/news/education/" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">education spokesperson in the Scottish Parliament was categorical that she and colleagues in the Scottish Parliament supported LGBT+ inclusive education.

I don’t think it does put her at odds with Sir Kier Starmer, having heard Bridget Phillipson on Laura Kuenssberg refuse to say they would retain the clauses in the new draft guidance intended to protect against the concept of gender identity being taught.

I have given up understanding labour policy as they keep contradicting each other (like they will protect single sex services -but include men with penises in them, as women can have penises- but they will call them single sex or safe spaces even though many women couldn't use them- have I understood correctly?)- it's confusing, that's maybe the point if they think otherwise the public wouldn't vote for them due to the negative impact on women and children.

There is no evidence 'gender identity' exists except in believer's minds. In theory it could be taught in schools for older children as a 'religion' as long as children are warned it's a belief with no basis in reality- men are still men- as otherwise it becomes a safeguarding issue in multiple ways.

The problem is it's so confusing to children, it doesn't just encourage gender distressed kids to believe they are a different sex, it leads to stuff like this- the poor little girl thought this man would be safe because he was dressed like a woman, as she had been taught- she didn't understand.

Every time I see that man's face I think of Shona Robison's assertion:

'"There is no evidence that predatory and abusive men have ever had to pretend to be anything else to carry out predatory and abusive behaviour.'

Sorry, that makes no sense. They are keeping the clauses re not teaching gender ideology and this means they agree with the Scots? Do they read what they say?

No the opposite.

They would not keep the clauses in the new guidelines re not teaching gender ideology.

Shona Robison should have resigned after the sentencing of that evil predatory man. And apologised. That she didn't do either has solidified in my mind that people like her are just as complicit. It's enraging.

Slightly off the point but the man who manages the Edinburgh Rape crisis didn't resign or get sacked after the recent tribunal either. There is a real problem with those who can't tolerate rebellious women who won't submit to trans demands or pretend men are women, and a failure by those in power to remove them from office for their behaviour.
