Alabama Attorney General Submits New Evidence re WPATH in Case Seeking to Overturn the State's Ban on Paediatric Transition

Benjamin Ryan, science and health journalist, has created a detailed tweet thread discussing the Attorney General's motion for summary judgement in the case that is seeking to overturn the state's ban on paediatric transition.

The thread contains lots of evidence citing internal WPATH documents that the Attorney General argues undermine the WPATH's credibility.

The Cass Review is cited by the Attorney General as evidence that WPATH scientific literature is weak and unreliable.

I know what you mean Hoardasurass. I thought I knew all that was going on, from having read the WPATH Files, until I sat down to read Ryan's thread and I realised I only know half of it.

In response to the news of Levine's role in deleting age restrictions in Social 8, the Biden administration has made a statement saying it doesn't support surgery for trans-identifying minors:
https://www.nytimes.com/2024/06/28/health/transgender-surgery-biden.html

Despite the outsize attention the issue has drawn, it is rare for minors in the United States to undergo gender-affirming surgeries.
Sigh. I am really tired of the gaslighty nonsense - when everyone is expected to put pronouns in their emails or cities are festooned with trans flags or we have to use phrases like "people with cervices" it's all proportionate, but if anyone expresses concern about the evidence base for serious medical interventions on hundreds of kids, it's "outsize attention".

It's ridiculous - we're talking experimental child sterilisation here.

CHILD STERILISATION! Enthusiastically endorsed by Levine who is still in his government post, unbelievably.

If you're going to get upset about anything, this should be it.

Shhh nasty parents, shut up about the horrendous medical scandal where we experimented on children.

The only reason that it's 'rare' and that there aren't more children affected in the US is because a lot of parents have fought back. The state was full steam ahead on the child experimentation with no evidence base.Endorsed by government employees who are still in post.

dougalfromthemagicroundabout · 29/06/2024 08:30

Why has Levine not lost zir job over this? Deliberately trying to remove safeguards for children? Surely that should be a job ending move?

dougalfromthemagicroundabout · 29/06/2024 08:47

It's 'rare' for doctors to kill their patients deliberately, that doesn't mean that if a government employee did something to make it easier for anyone doing this 'rare' thing to do it and get away with that it shouldn't be given due scrutiny and end that person's career.

This is a massive story and there should be more engagement on the few threads on it. The veil has been lifted from the cult once and for all. People are knowingly harming children. They know what they’re doing.

The problem is that too many people have drunk the kool aid on this.

However, what has happened is that the US state apparatus totally abandoned normal standards of ethics, safeguarding and medical evidence around - at their own admission - a particularly vulnerable cohort of children. DELIBERATELY. They allowed activists with inherent bias and vested interest in only one outcome - like Levine - in positions of power.

It's abhorrent that they are now trying to minimise what happened by saying 'it's rare'. So what? Lots of abhorrent things are 'rare' doesn't mean government employees get a free pass to enable abhorrent 'rare' things.

I have a family member who's a US citizen and will be showing them this before they vote. How anyone can vote for Biden after seeing his administration's response to Levine's attempt to remove child safeguarding I don't know. No-one with children should vote for him.

I know Trump's also terrible, but this is just evil, frankly. Paying off a porn star so she doesn't blab about having sex with you and dodgy taxes around that payment looks like moral rectitude in comparison. At least none of that involved pushing for the sterilisation (on no medical evidence) of children.

I’m frankly amazed by the level of indifference the mainstream US media has for this topic - it’s treated like a forbidden subject which is dreadful for a society because debate needs to be had. It took UK media bloody ages, and even today it’s mostly newspapers rather than telly news that run stories. But we need to know who the people in WPATH are and why they make the recommendations they do for medicalising children.

All these medical treatments have been authorised by the US Government and been carried out on children without a large scale societal discussion in America. Ignoring a problem like this won’t make it go away and the majority of US media seem determined to only support affirmative stories rather than consider any possibility that problems exist. Americans are going to be horrified when the truth can no longer be suppressed and they will not be so keen to trust their media outlets afterwards.
