This is in Australia.

For those not on X. Senator Claire Chandler has now gained evidence showing that over 6500 girls and women (some as young as 14), were last year prescribed T on the basis of doctors recording them as having a testicular disorder. I gather that T for a testicular disorder is subsidised through government (tax payer) funding.

The disorder in question being, I presume, not having testicles. Because they're female.

Absolute shit, obfuscated with weasel words.

Appalling.

Six and a half thousand Aussie women and girls being prescribed testosterone in 2023! This is shocking

Chickenuggetsticks · 27/06/2024 10:00

It may not just be for gender identity reasons. My endo was telling me she keeps getting young women coming in looking for testosterone to help with muscle gain for insta abs. The mind boggles. Either way it’s fucking irresponsible to be prescribing in this way.

NotBadConsidering · 27/06/2024 10:00

Claire Chandler’s speeches are always absolutely spot on.

LastTrainEast · 27/06/2024 10:01

More then enough to get the doctors struck off for malpractice should think and maybe a prison sentence for fraudulently claiming the subsidy.

MrsOvertonsWindow · 27/06/2024 10:02

Our poor children. So many charlatans practising medicine.

Is prescribing T during menopause not fairly normal? Could it be a way of getting it paid for?

Chersfrozenface · 27/06/2024 10:05

It may not just be for gender identity reasons.

Obviously it is if the "diagnosis" is "testicular disorder".

What with women and girls not having testicles.

Yeah you probably have a point there. I wonder what you could prescribe it for, erectile dysfunction or something? I don’t understand how you could have that kind of loophole.

The Australian government prescribing restrictions for testosterone exist as they do because the organisation that oversees it, the PBS, recognises that only males should be getting testosterone. There is no legitimate reason for any female to be prescribed it, let alone have the government subsidise it.

Presumably the get-out, and the reason for the situation Senator Chandler describes, is that any girl or woman over 16 can identify as male under Australian law.

And then present to a doctor as a male lacking testicles, so the doctor can prescribe testosterone under the PBS.

That number doesn't include private prescriptions or black market it's also just the under 18s

CorruptedCauldron · 27/06/2024 15:09

This is fraud and theft and deception. Doctors lying through their teeth about girls having a ‘testicular’ disorder so they can get taxpayer-funded testosterone. They know damn well that females don’t have testicles, so they’re lying a-holes. I feel nostalgic for the times when this social contagion wasn’t a thing, when girls were free to be wonderfully gender-nonconforming and nobody thought for a second that maybe they should be taking testosterone or cutting their breasts off to live their best life.

TheSandgroper · 27/06/2024 15:10

@Justme56 Thank you for sharing.

PTSDBarbiegirl · 27/06/2024 15:12

So, all females have a 'testicular disorder' due to being biological females. Oh, fuck all this!!!!

StealthSpinach · 27/06/2024 15:31

It is absolutely shameful the way the majority run (yes, sprint and shove their way through) out of chamber so they don’t have to hear the truth. Claire is a brave truth teller, and shows the other senators up for the ignorant, arrogant and ideologically captured tossers they are.
Pity help those young women and girls, because the Australian Government is destroying them.

Under-23s I think she said? Certainly not menopausal - not until after they start taking the anabolic steroids.

Testosterone that's legitimately prescribed for other conditions such as menopause would presumably have a different classification.

It would come under a diagnosis of "menopause' not a diagnosis of "testicular disorder", for a start.

ThreeWordHarpy · 27/06/2024 16:11

I can’t get the video to play, but is it clear that these “women with testicular issues” are solely women/girls who are trans? Some menopausal women benefit from low doses of testosterone and I wouldn’t like to see them lose access to treatment in a rush to condemn others who are finding loopholes in the system.
