‘Safe Spaces’ - Labour’s weasel wording

It seems that Labour no long believe in single sex spaces, no longer intend to protect them, and women’s privacy and dignity is to be destroyed.

’Safe spaces’ is no slip of the tongue - this is Labour’s attempt to hide their intention behind weasel wording.

Completely agree with you. I want this to be picked up each time with interviewer asking for a definition of these spaces, and if they mean single sex spaces why do they keep saying something else. They must think we’re stupid.

It Is clearly a policy decision to stop talking about single sex spaces - the leadership team have decided that single sex spaces are to be forfeited. That women should no longer be allowed them.

No one should pretend they didn’t know what they were voting for.

I thought it might be a way to pass some of the "lesser"spaces across whilst letting women keep ones we can justify on the grounds of safety (so farewell privacy and dignity). They'd be okay with toilets letting TW in but would hold the line on rape shelters.

Should we all vote Tory? Well I certainly am! Let's all vote Tory!

Cue mutual back patting.

Vote Labour if you want to but don’t pretend you didn’t know they were going to destroy female single sex spaces, teach gender ideology in school as fact, and destroy safeguarding of vulnerable people (proper vulnerable people; women, children, disabled, not trans)

Toilets are not lesser spaces. I have been in pubs and bars where mixed sex toilets are scary. Down dark corridors in the basement narrow floor to ceiling doors mixing women often young with drunk men . What could go wrong ? Women and girls have been raped in toilets even supposedly ladies ones. And frankly toilets and changing rooms are the spaces we arr most likely to use so the amount of women exposed to harm is greater. Plus we have increased ability for boyfriends due to mobile phones

Sorry typo boyfriends should be voyeurs what the hell was predictive text thinking ? That's worrying in itself !
