As someone who cannot find an NHS dentist for their child, the Labour promise to sort out dentistry is music to my ears. I took a look at their uncosted plan. Make dentists do out of hours emergency care in greater amount. I have no doubt that this is needed, and useful (though good luck finding the dentist hours for that).
What I need for my child, is a 100% commitment that every child will have access to an NHS dentist for routine care.

Labour's Child Health Action Plan will create the healthiest generation of children ever – The Labour Party

"Labour will eliminate dental deserts and improve children’s oral healthy by:

  • Delivering 700,000 extra urgent dental appointments per year, so more children can see a dentist when they really need to.
  • Introducing a targeted national supervised toothbrushing programme for 3-5-year-olds in our fully funded breakfast clubs."

If only they would tell us how they were going to do that...which would at least give a reason to vote for them! But, they are very light on the 'how' and how they'll fund it... It's a great aspiration though :)

I think my problem is that initially I thought it would be like other ads and I could just click in the right hand corner and get rid of it, but because it is not the same as other ads and open to comment , I got - gulp - sent to Labour Party indoctrination centre.

So now they will see that as a positive. That i want to be inundated with their two faced nonsense.

Which now I thought that makes me more incensed that MNHQ have imposed this on us, as it shows how over powering and undemocratically does not have the option to dismiss it.

I wonder how many other irate users of mumsnet have given Labour HQ a false positive, if like me they innocently thought they could get rid of the ad, but instead get sent through to Starmer's apparatchiks.

@MNHQ are you aware of this deceit.

That happens with other ads too - click slightly off the X (if it's there) & you end up on the advertiser's website. I comfort myself with the thought that MN probably gets paid for that each time it happens.

The hilarious thing is, the way the algorithms work, the more you comment on this thread. The more likely you are to be served that ad.

Not in my case, thankfully. Ah, the lovely sea of boring grey...

French castles, French castles, French castles. Let's see if the algorithms pick that up. I miss the mutli-million properties I used to see all the time.

Again everyone keeps missing the point!

There is no X to close the ad

unlike every other ad that is circulated.

I miss the days, about two years ago, when the algorithms decided that posters on the Sex and Gender board were interested in gay cruises. Pictures of jolly boys having a lovely holiday.

Has anyone seen ads from any other political party - just out of interest - and concerns about mumsnet's reputation!
