There are 2 US paediatrics bodies. The mainstream one which, to date, has been completely on board with child transition and GI. There’s a smaller, more right-leaning one which has been more critical if gender affirmation and GI. I can never remember which one is which though. The acronyms/names are similar.

The American College of Pediatricians sounds as though it would be a major paediatricians' association in the US, but actually it isn't.

It's seen as a bit of a fringe group. I'm not surprised that this is their stance and I sadly think it is unlikely to sway many pro-affirmation US medics
