Wes Streeting supports Victoria Atkins' ban on puberty blockers

'Labour’s shadow health secretary Wes Streeting said he “welcomed” Ms Atkins’ approach to puberty blockers, which suppress the natural production of sex hormones to delay puberty.'

Does that mean Labour will ban them, Streeting? Or will you let the ban slide in September and expose more children to harm?

Come on Wes, you’re so close - but maybe Starmer is tying his hands?

I'm assuming everything Wes says is done to appease 'gc' voters.

None of it promises any concrete action, though.

He makes all the right noises, but the only actual commitments Labour have made are to make self ID easier.

I've written to Wes thanking him for his previous comments and asking for some more concrete pledges as I hoped I'd be able to vote Labour.
