Remember time this insane Labour TRA rounded on Miriam Cates for sharing her experience of a trans woman staring at her in a toilet and her feeling scared https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-64321754

do not vote Labour in. Keep this out of our children’s schools, keep women’s spaces safe and help lesbians stop being hassled. Pls do not vote this madness In

Lloyd Russell-Moyle

MP Lloyd Russell-Moyle sorry for tone in gender debate

Lloyd Russell-Moyle was told to "moderate his language" after accusing a Tory MP of "transphobic" remarks.

I doubt it had much thought beyond '99.9% is a synonym for "almost all" and doesn't fully commit me to either side.'

He forgot (a) what happens when you apply a small percentage to a large number (such as the UK population) and (b) that women can do sums.

I think he forgets women exist full stop

That’s why he can’t hear anyone talking about the issue

He also forgot how not to make a total arse of himself

The 'ginger gender finger jabber' is genius. Did you bake it yourself? 😄

OliviaFlaversham · 30/05/2024 14:01

I can’t think of anything that would make me vote Labour now. They’re utterly deplorable. Being ‘better than the Tories’ isn’t enough when they are such bedfellows.

jotajil · 30/05/2024 14:45

Well I thought the Kempt town labour MP whatisname Moyle, was running away from the possibilty of facing Kelly-Jay Keen, Party of Women, as an oponent! Apparently he has been having nightmares, waking up with a bloated red face, as in the video, and spluttering in an incoherent rage, shivering and muttering her name.

No. Shameless theft from I think Dennis Kavanagh? Can’t remember now

I think he's on a thread where someone one else wrote it.

Possibly me, I call him that all the time and yes, from Dennis and Clive's Queens Speech podcast. I kinda forget that not everyone listens to it.

ShambalaAnna · 30/05/2024 21:09

There are plenty of reasons I'd not vote Labour, though finding out about this incident is a new one on me.

duc748 · 31/05/2024 00:12

Labour seem to have this almost magical gift, of offering new reasons on an almost daily basis.

In reply to the news that Lloyd Russel-Moyle The Brighton Kemptown MP has been suspended due to a complaint made 8 years ago.
My questions:
Why is he only now being suspended if the complaint was made 8 years ago?
Could it be anything to do with the fact that Kelly-Jay Keen the new Party of Women is standing against him? https://www.partyofwomen.org
Is he running away?
Anyone know what the complaint was about?

Edited

You could be right here. Imagine the optics in the press of LRM ranting away about GI issues after a few prods by KJK. Not the “Labour message” they want the media amplifying, I’m sure. Is it too late for her to run in another seat of interest?

duc748 · 31/05/2024 11:45

Does KJK have much visibility beyond MN? I'd be surprised if avoiding her against Moyle was a significant factor in Labour's action. But I guess we'll never know for sure.

maltravers · 31/05/2024 11:59

I think it’s less her visibility and more the certainty that she would be bringing gender identity front and centre of all hustings/discussions with LRM who would answer and was bound to come up with plenty of “yes, lesbians have penises you transphobe!” type comments, which the tabloids would lap up. Your approved Labour candidate probably adopts the usual word salad to make it less appealing to report.

AlisonDonut · 30/05/2024 06:08

But not due to this behaviour, which is fully endorsed by Labour.

Exactly. The Labour leadership neither disciplines this kind or bullying nor apologises to bullied female MPs like Rosie Duffield. Whilst Miriam Cates is not a Labour MP I still think she is owed an apology from the Labour leadership after they failed to discipline RLM for this.
