Puberty blockers save lives, says offshore gender doctor

Oh, and surgery is a good idea too. Gotta keep you name in the press to keep those subscriptions rolling in, I guess.

Puberty blockers save lives, says offshore gender doctor

Bloody hell she is a fucking ghoul. Should be locked up.

WitchyWitcherson · 29/05/2024 13:56

What she means is puberty blockers fund her life.

“If you start from a position of believing that trans people (and children) exist

Medicine should be based on scientific evidence, not belief. What is a trans person? Why should anyone believe that 'trans children' exist when it's obvious that they were invented in order to support the fictitious backstories of middle-aged males with AGP?

Gettingmadderallthetime · 29/05/2024 14:05

The last paragraph is telling. 'In her latest tweets, she added: “If you want to know where I got my knowledge from — it is from reading EVERY research paper, clinical guideline, opinion piece going — but most importantly by listening to (and believing) the hundreds of trans kids and their parents that I have had the privilege to meet.”

So she read (and took as evidence) even the worst research (the stuff that Cass rejected) and she believes all the trans kids and parents. No critical thinking here and precious little understanding of what good research is. Horrific.

YES! It's about time more of us said this out loud because it is absolutely the truth.

CountingCrones · 29/05/2024 14:17

They certainly save her lifestyle. Where would she be without those profitable private prescriptions?

SqueakyDinosaur · 29/05/2024 14:20

There's a huge amount of anger against HW on t/reddit. People saying it's almost impossible to speak to someone, lots of the service farmed out to chatbots, etc.

'Life-saving'? She seems to have completely forgotten about this poor young patient (despite the language used by the tribunal, this patient was female and was prescribed testosterone by Michael Webberley, who has now been struck off).

In September 2018, Patient W took his own life and there
followed a coroner’s inquest. As a result of media coverage, the GMC became aware that prior to Patient W’s death he had received hormone treatment from GenderGP.

And this one, from only a few weeks ago, where the patient didn't die but was put at risk

In more positive news, the government are introducing emergency legislation to prevent under 18's being prescribed puberty blockers. Although for a three month period initially, the expectation seems to be that the new government will extend it.

Doctors may be struck off under new UK ban on puberty blockers

The order can only be effective for a maximum of 3 months unless it's already been put before the appropriate committee and I assume she didn't have time to do that with the election. I don't know which is the appropriate committee

GreyeEmulsion · 29/05/2024 21:08

I’ll tell you what did save lives or rather who….Prof Hindmarsh. Yet he suddenly stopped practicing and I cannot find out why all that comes up is that he made the initial complaint about this woman. He was an amazing dr - literally saving lives and he knew as an endocrinologist the damage she was advocating doing to young patients.

BeBraveLittlePenguin · 29/05/2024 21:14

I saw the thread title and was wondering which of Webberley, Maugham, Harrop, Willoughby, Izzard, RMW (& on and on) it was going to be.

PTSDBarbiegirl · 29/05/2024 21:16

Tell that to the massive #detrans community. Bone problems, infertile, permanently weeping pocket where penis was cut off. No sex life, smell of colon emanating from genital region, suicidal depression, organ problems. In females the amputation of healthy breasts, high testosterone dosing, late diagnosis of misunderstood autism, internalised misogyny. It's all so homophobic and sick. This zealot needs to stop.

IndecentPropolis · 29/05/2024 21:22

She’s an evil bitch.
