Always check your local candidates, not just their party.

Yes, this is really important

Very true. My local Tory MP (stepping down this time) is TWAW. I wrote to them about a year ago and got a fully captured response.

The constituency I’m in is usually a safe Con seat, so I’ll be watching to see who they’ve selected for it and what their views are.

The PM programme on Radio 4 have just done a “constituency tombola” to either hear from or broadcast from randomly chosen constituencies daily over the election period. It is quite a nice idea. One up in the next few days is Canterbury. I wonder if any mention will be made of the candidates’ views on gender (my guess is no, reason being Evan Davies and the BBC in general).

I was amused when Canterbury popped up. Slightly surprised that Evan said something like "Didn't that go Labour in 2019, 2017?" I'd expect him to know instantly that it was Rosie Duffield's constituency, as she is (or was) the only Labour MP in Kent and she is a high-profile backbencher.

Hm. Our constituency is a Lib Dem/Con fight (currently Lib Dem) and neither candidate mentions the issue on their websites or in interviews.
