Fall Guy GC?

I've just been to see Fall Guy. Emily Blunt's character describes Ryan Gosling as an Adult Human Male.

I wonder if there are some secret terfy sisters on the writing team?

I really enjoyed it, it was a fun action film. It's not deep in any way, has its flaws and the twist is easy to spot, but I would happily see it again. It was based on a series from the 1980s (there is a cameo scene) so it makes sense that it has a bit of a classic action film feeling to it and thankfully it isn't trying to ram the message (TM) down your throat.

I watched the trailer and thought it looked like a fun film, plus I remember the original series, with Lee Majors, fondly.

Will be going to see it next week, relieved that I won't be being preached to!

Definitely go (unless you really hate Kiss as they are a big feature of the soundtrack).

I thought it was terrible (and I was really looking forward to it).
Yes, it's GC, but that doesn't mean it's any good.
Instead of objectifying the female actors, R Gosling is objectified, as there is a lot of coverage of his body.
Just because I don't want female actors filmed this way, doesn't mean I want male actors treated this way. Plus I really don't like big muscly bodies, that looked like they've been waxed. RG is a decent actor, and he's really misused here.
Also, how come at the beginning of the film he's having to treat his back pain, it immediately disappears?

Just go and watch Crazy Stupid Love instead. A great film (apart from one dreadful plot strand).

I started writing a positive review of the film, and then realised I was talking about Free Guy, which is a completely different film from Fall Guy 😂😂😂

I agree, it has flaws and I did say that. The Critical Drinker has reviewed it. What he says is pretty fair. I personally didn't find that it dragged in the second half and I enjoyed it more than most of the films I have seen recently despite those flaws.

If you haven't seen the film and don't want any hints of a spoiler, maybe don't watch his review beyond the 1 minute 40 seconds mark.
