Just noticed this in the Telegraph

https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2024/05/16/parents-hit-out-fa-transgender-policy-boys-play-girls-only/

https://archive.ph/T8WSt bypass paywall, back of the net!

The organisers are following the FA's guidance for the 'girl's only' tournament.

I'm assuming there will be an unused changing area, usually used by men and boys. Hopefully someone will see sense, label it 'gender neutral' for the duration of the tournament and direct all the male trans players in that direction.

Potentially having naked up to 18 year old males with any young girls is outrageous.

Or, even better, make it genuinely 'girls only', including female non bin and any other gender confused actual girls.

There's so much wrong with this; safety, dignity...I could go on for pages.

Parents blast FA transgender policy that allows boys to play ‘girls-only’ football tournaments

FA rules also do not specifically prohibit boys who identify as girls from using communal female changing and showers

Goodness me, are they trying to self destruct? So many other sports have got a grip, but the FA have decided to ignore common sense.

The FA have a very long history of misogyny which they’ve never even tried to come to grips with. I can’t see what would make them change now.

The FA - run by men, for men 😐

I would not want to risk being tackled by a post pubescent male, and the injury risk.

That's just common sense and basics in safety.

As balance my dd played on a boys team right until under 18's, only girl by that point (she's good)

I played adult women's football for 30 years. I was no push over. My 13 year old nephew (who was already a good 6 inches taller than me) would have made mincemeat of me. This is utterly wrong.
