Watching countryfile and they’re talking about a charity supporting the mental health of young women which sounds brilliant

except of course it doesn’t because heaven forbid girls have anything just for them

“For those who identify as female aged 12-16”

so all those young women identifying as male who probably would really benefit cannot attend

(It also pisses me off that everytime I see a service or charity advertised as being for women and/or girls I check to see if it’s actually for women/girls or in fact fir everyone)

It pisses me off too.

I thought I'd have a look at their policies. But unless it's a problem my side - you can't actually download any of them to look at. If my DD was still in that age bracket, I don't think that I would be at all comfortable.

No it doesn’t work for me either

I didn't notice the "identify as" bit but I expected "young women" to be around 16 - 25. I felt uncomfortable with 12-16 year old girls being described as women.

They didn’t say “identify as” in the show - I went and looked and yes the age range made me even more concerned

going by their own website they’ll take a teenage boy along for these courses if he “identifies” as female
