So delighted to hear this. I wonder if a certain Sport England employee is having a tantrum. 🤭

Somebody who may have attracted the sort of attention that brings organisations into disrepute? The sort of someone who practises what Suzanne Moore so pithily described as Banal McCarthyism?

That is great news! And remarkable to think that ‘someone’ will also have caused greater scrutiny of stonewall’s influence on Sports England.

Good news. Well done, Sport England.

It's a small step. But while they still employ those who target women for wrong speak and are opposed to women's rights to same sex sport, they've got a way to go.

To be clear, I think all of these organisations will seize the chance to re-affiliate with Stonewall when there's a change in government.

In the brief interim, I would like some notable organisations to acknowledge and implement some training on freedom of thought etc. and actual tolerance for different perspectives and opinions.

This is a very good example of how the tactics laid out in the Denton's report have been carried out. Wedge activists into positions of influence in sporting organisations, drown the organisation with "policy" enshrining all sorts of anti science, flat earthism nonsense and then stand back and watch while sporting bodies founded on fundamental biological principles beclown themselves as they insist that "inclusion & diversity" matter more than sporting excellence, fairness, honesty and integrity.

Rinse and repeat in the NHS, schools etc.

If I am remembering rightly, the head of EDI at Sport England is/was the person who reported Rachel Meade. (and from a look at that person's LinkedIn profile seemed to have very little experience other than that particular piece of fuckwittery).

Yes, Aedan Wolton is the strategic lead at Sport England and plausible contender for placing high in the league of Banal McCarthyites (admittedly, a crowd of contenders).

To be fair, SWE may yet decide that they really still align with AW's perspective so AW may yet emerge as heroic advocate for extirpating wrong think from the profession.
