Nothing to be said or done, but my thoughts are with Nika's family, her elder sister who is in police detention, and all the women and girls of Iran.

There are no words here.

The word "harms" and "abomination" cannot cover what has been done to her, her family, and the reality of living in such a society.

That poor girl. She was so courageous

I have just seen this article. That three, adult men could do this to a child is absolutely horrifying. That poor young woman.

RIP - state sanctioned murder, abuse and misogyny. The scale of this is depressing but I will hold her name in my memory because it’s all that I can do. Does anyone else ever fantasise about some magical ‘rapture’ that would air lift all the women and girls ‘living’ under these vicious regimes away from their hellish existence to a place of safety and freedom? Leave the stinking, evil murderous men to each other and their Gods with no women to abuse. Nobody seems to be able to do fuck all about it in real-life do they?

I read the article this morning and was horrified at what Nika endured.

I heard about this on Women's hour this morning, it's equally heartbreaking and enraging that this is happening to young women and girls
