LBC Shelagh Fogarty 1pm today - Biological sex is a fact

Shelagh Fogarty has tweeted
"NHS announces biological sex IS a fact and that it matters, sometimes very precisely, in physical care. From 1pm @LBC I’ll be asking how a supposedly advanced nation ever disputed this."

<a class="break-all" href="https://x.com/ShelaghFogarty/status/1785240133798629680x.com/ShelaghFogarty/status/1785240133798629680" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">https://x.com/ShelaghFogarty/status/1785240133798629680x.com/ShelaghFogarty/status/1785240133798629680

Shelagh's consistently good on these issues and gets the usual hate for covering them. Hope some of us will be able to have our say

Thanks for that, she’s absolutely professional on these topics I agree.

Isn't JO'B going to have conniptions?

The NHS is to declare that sex is a matter of biology in a landmark shift against gender ideology.
Changes to the health service’s written constitution proposed by ministers will for the first time ban trans women from women-only wards, and give women the right to request a female doctor for intimate care.
The NHS constitution, a document that aims to set out the principles and values of the health service and legal rights for patients and staff, was last updated in 2015. It has to be updated at least every 10 years by the Secretary of State.
Campaigners for women’s rights welcomed the significant shift, which comes after years of wrangling and follows accusations that the health service had been captured by “gender ideology”.

NB: bear in mind the constitution is more of a set of desiderata and 'good things,' it's a declatory document, not a legally enforceable document.

Still useful to see.

Will Minsters make the NHS bin Annex B altogether? Rewrite it?

What will happen if, as seems likely, Labour wins the next General Election this year?

I'm hoping this will make it impossible for Labour to reverse all this. They'll have enough on their plate as it is and imagine the optics of insisting that male born sex offenders MUST be placed on women's wards again as Devon, Oxford and Nottinghamshire hospital trust policies state:

Link below for those who find it unimaginable that anyone in the NHS thinks male predators on a women's ward is the way to go :

Trans sex offenders can go on women’s wards, hospitals advise

Male-born sex offenders who identify as women can be treated on female-only NHS wards after a risk assessment, some hospital trusts have told staff.Devon, Oxf

I know. All that heat, he just wanted more light 😔

ArabellaScott · 30/04/2024 12:45

Aw, all this time, he's been so reasonable while all the nasty women made a big fuss and went on and on about their rights, spewing/bleating/shrieking/talking and insisting that the Equality Act be upheld, and children be offered evidence based healthcare, and women's rights be protected on the basis of sex, like the evil vipers they are?

Bless.

BoreOfWhabylon · 30/04/2024 14:31

Looks like the dreadful incident in London has meant an alteration to the schedule. Don't know if Shelagh will cover this later.

DM: Under proposed changes to the NHS Constitution — which outlines the rights of patients and staff and overall objectives — the health service will also be tasked to crackdown on terms like 'chestfeeding' and ensure 'biological sex is respected'.
The changes could also see trans women, who are biologically male, banned from female-only hospital wards in England.
Last updated in 2015, the document will now be subject to an eight-week consultation.

Whilst she has been catergoric today I have heard her remain silent whilst callers have said the opposite in regards to biological sex. Many times.
Also she's a major nose breather so I will wait before I join the SF fan club.

Otterly2 · 30/04/2024 20:41

She has been staunch in her defence of women from this ideology.

Tabasco007 · 30/04/2024 23:29

Amy Gallagher, due to her stance on women's rights.

It's only taking so long to resolve because pesky women are doing it all wrong. Left to themselves the men would have sorted it ages ago... if women had only just stfu.
