Gender neutral toilets

Alistair Campbell on Instagram chose as his tree of the day a toilet door with Gender Neutral on it. He can't see the issue apparently.

I wanted to explain succinctly but kept deleting, any ideas? Basically I don't think he's thought about the subject from the female perspective.

What a subject for my first post here!

I've posted before about my experiences n Stockholm in mixed sex lavatories in public buildings.

There was an enormous queue including immediately outside the cubicle doors. The doors were not floor to ceiling, nor were they US style short slatted doors; but there felt like very little privacy with the gaps at the top and bottom being fairly pronounced. This was not a great situation for dealing with menopausal flooding. Nor was it great for the woman who had to leave the door open with her baby's pram in it while she assisted her toddler. She told me that she usually had to wait to pee herself until she was home.

Given the numbers of people of both sexes it was probably safe enough when busy, but zero privacy or dignity .

I’m glad this is being highlighted about the enclosed toilet.
i thought I was going mad. Was in a busy London bar which had recently reopened all three toilets ( mixed use) were enclosed in a very tight space. My immediate thoughts were how do you know if someone gets trapped or forced in to the toilet.
As someone who has been followed into a toilet before. Needless to say I will not be frequenting this bar again. As I don’t consider the toilets safe n a drinking environment.

To help men realise it isn't good for them...

Compare the queue for nake and female toilets. It takes women longer. You can also fit more more urinals in the same space as cubicles.

So they are just creating more time waiting for themselves when they could be doing important Man Things.
