It's actually bad enough but it could have been worse. The victims were stalked on SM but they weren't contacted, they weren't blackmailed. I'm not sure if the pictures were uploaded anywhere.

These fucking 'changing villages' have been around for decades. Thirty-ish years ago my LA built a new recreation centre with one. Every cubicle had peep holes bored in them. The management did nothing about that. Also men could stand on the benches and look into adjacent cubicles. At least when I went it was before there were mobile phone cameras.

I've not been back there in decades. I hope they've changed them.

This is why we need women only spaces.

Another person here who has had a man put his head under the gap in changing cubicles. This was at a swimming pool. My friend and I were chatting to each other as we got changed and we suddenly noticed him because he made happy noises, so he was obviously masturbating while watching us take our costumes off and out our clothes on. We were so shocked we didn't say anything at reception. We never went swimming there again. but before that we went every week.

I wonder how many thousands of incidents there are like this, but because women are too shocked to say anything they go completely unrecorded.

Yep happened at a local Pool with this set up.

We took the children for their school swimming lessons and men would time their swim at the same time.

Not many girls in the school so they had to change in the cubicles as the boys took up all the school change spaces. School staff had to stand guard - often dripping wet too as had been in pool. Pool staff were also well aware and would position themselves at key places .

A colleague who went for a swim after work was subjected to voyerism under the cubicle. It went to court but suspended sentence.

It's what they move on to next that is also concerning.

You're absolutely right, but in the moment, even though there were two of us, we were actually really scared. Being naked makes you feel much more vulnerable.

My husband hates changing villages because he's very tall, and is dangerously close to being able to see over the tops of cubicles with no effort (seriously - if he stood on his tip toes he'd be able to see over the top).

If they're going to insist on shared changing villages, they really need to make sure that the cubicles are fully concealed with no gaps - and checked regularly for cameras.

Our local pool's changing village is horrible, because the ceiling has huge gaps with no tiles, and you can see all the pipes, etc. It's been like this since opening - I don't know if it's a stylistic choice or practical one, but it always leaves me feeling uneasy because of how easy it'd be to hide a camera.

Which is the logical conclusion when the safeguarding of children is compromised by adults.

I will never forget that a 14 year old girl was gang raped in the US and her ordeal was shared on Pornhub.

I was trying to copy the language used in the article but I misremembered. It was 'mixed gender', although 'playtime for perverts' seems more apt.

Unisex = one sex.

“Mixed Sex” is better terminology (in my opinion) as it really blatantly shows that male and female are mixed in together.

How does this not rise to the level of child pornography? The article says that they filmed under 18's. Theres no mention in the article of either of them being put on the sex offenders register.

Also how did it take from their arrest in Nov 2017 until now to be sentenced thats 6.5 years, its more than 7 years since they raided and found the images. I know covid etc but even accounting for that, its a shocking amount of delays and 2 of the gang have just vanished

God similar happened in one of my local pools with a changing village. A man was caught sliding his phone under a cubicle to film teenage girls. Transpired he ran a soft play and had hidden cameras to film women and children in the toilets. Also transpired that it had long been noticed that the man timed his swims with schools and always happend to be in the communal shower at the same time as the children. But presumably nobody felt empowered to do anything!!

I mean what the actual fuck!!!

And who the fuck decided communal mixed sex showers were appropriate?

Isn't it interesting that so many men feel compelled to do these things despite the easy availability of porn?

But obviously it's verboten to think that half the thrill for some men is the boundary violation itself.
