LGBTYS and GDPR

Hello, I'm wondering if anyone in Scotland here can advise. I asked my children's secondary school if I could view their submission to LGBTYS but I was told I couldn't see it because of GDPR. Surely this is public money and so I could put in a request through FOI?

You can certainly try. I would submit an FOI to the council. I did this a few years ago in relation to a number of the LGBTYS Gold Award holder schools. Mine was a broader enquiry asking for all LGBTYS documentation associated with named schools and Falkirk Council actually did send me the submission for one of their schools.

Worth a shot

I will do. I would just rather see it sooner than have to have several months for the FOI. I'll see if I can find other submissions that have some from a successful FOI, I'll start with Falkirk, thank you for responding

Could be the usual commercial interest cop out. Which I don't know is necessarily legal.
