I'll speak to some of the staff at my daughters' school about responding. It's good to know that it's individual views.
Does anyone know if any of the "GC" orgs are creating guidance on responding e.g. Transgender Trend, Sex Matters, SSA etc?

Hi all. I left this very late and started to fill this in but it's not aimed at me. It's for those who are already Designated Safeguarding Leads (DSL), deputy DSL or who have experience of safeguarding. I feel I'd be putting NA for most of it, and there isn't even a School Governor option to tick at the beginning. Hope those who are qualified and know all the right things to say have filled it in!

In one sense it's great that it's designed for practitioners - there's been far too much weighing in on safeguarding by lobby groups with zero experience with safeguarding, child development etc but a desire to erode the boundaries that safeguard children. My guess is that many of the organisations concerned with children will complete it.

The consultation doesn't seem to mention the updated gender questioning children guidance at all. Am I missing something?

I made reference to it in my answers pointing out how the DfE have been asleep at the wheel as trans lobby groups ran amok in schools for years redefining safeguarding and virtually removing certain groups of vulnerable children while the captured DfE stayed silent.
They need to ensure that the dots are joined up so that gender questioning children are seen as vulnerable and questions asked by professionals without fear of allegations of transphobia.
