For those who haven't seen it, or don't subscribe, here is a link to Gia Milinovich's piece on her substack titled "Vindicated!" - three guesses what it relates to 😜

Vindicated!! - by Gia - My Apophenic Haze (substack.com)

I haven't listened to her podcast yet but it's on my subscribed list.

Vindicated!!

Over the Easter break, I travelled around following Brian on his tour in Eastern Europe. We visited 7 countries in 12 days. A few of the things we did: we visited a Communist dictator's house, underground ruins of a Roman Christian church, an 80s Museu...

Really powerful piece. I remember her posting to some of her 'friends' - Robin Ince, I think, maybe Jon Ronson - and her puzzlement was palpable, but the hurt and anger really come through here.

I'm sorry, for Gia and everyone stabbed in the back by so-called loved ones who wanted to be kind. She's right, they tacitly condoned the abuse through their cowardice.

My god she is furious, and rightly so.

What a great piece, thank you.

Great piece. She's so ballsy and brilliant, enjoyed her writing for a while.

Completely agree all the 'normies' thinking their LGBTetc experts just for saying TWAW or some such twaddle when people like her have been right in that community for years.

She says what she feels, I'm sad that she's fallen out with family members though.

She writes beautifully. She wrote an unrelated piece (pre-substack) a year or two ago about women being treated as extensions of their husbands or forced to live in their shadow - how she’d go to parties with Brian and people would instantly forget who she was or refer to her as “Brian’s wife”. She talked about an older woman whose Dr husband died and people stopped inviting her to gatherings as she wasn’t seen as worth bothering with without him. It was really moving.

Good piece, always been a bit weird the Brian Cox/Robin Ince thing, agree to disagree perhaps and stay away frontman the topic on a science show -odd!

Robin Ince is a smug, sexist little rodent. Who identifies as a good guy, bringing his manly wisdom to the debate to tell women which rights they get to keep and which ones the sad men need to have instead.

He can get tae fuck.

It must be very odd for Gia to be married to a globally famous science communicator who doesn't have a public stance on this. (Please correct me if I've missed it—difficult to Google because of the actor.)

Perhaps it's a topic that they agree to leave alone.

I can only assume (hope?) that the Prof is on the same page as Gia. I can't see how an intelligent and independent woman like her could be able to stay in a relationship with him otherwise, I would lose so much respect for him if he genuinely didn't agree with her (us).
