Hi. I'm challenging the provision of some mixed sex loos that I think fail to meet legislation. At a swimming baths, there is a run of 4 cubicles, half marked male and half female, but they share a bank of basins. They sit alongside some 'family style' changing facilities. Please could someone point me in the direction of the appropriate legislation / policy/ health and safety guidance? I understood that mixed sex loos had to be individual cubicles with a floor to ceiling door amd self contained basin.

Thanks

Good example of what happens when you get fully enclosed toilets (I campaign against them as they are dangerous for medically vulnerable people, people having a medical emergency and girls/ women more likely to be sexually assaulted):

The reason toilet doors in wet chlorinated areas don’t reach down to the floor is that they will rot - cleaning is compromised as the mops can’t go under the gaps so gunk ends up on the doors and partitions.

Pupils are taking drugs and drinking in "dangerous unhygienic" completely enclosed toilet cubicles, says a report by campaign group Merched Cymru
