They already know how bad the results of the study are. I'm sure it will be a sobering read.

They know. They've always known. Heads should roll and prosecutions be forthcoming. Anything less is a travesty.

Will this give numbers on detransitioners?

I'd imagine so, if they're tracking the data through NHS numbers....

Presumably depends on whether or not the clinics have actually done the follow ups, or if those compiling the data are going to have to follow up themselves. 😕

I'd made the assumption that there will be no records available of any follow-ups done by the clinics, but that's true; there may be.
If there are, will they be complete and can they be trusted?

There will have been suicides, for example, and I just can't see the clinics as having had the motivation to monitor the patient journeys to this degree.

I know, I'm cynical 🤣

I'm really not surprised by any of this. They know fine well what they've doing to these poor kids (16+) and young adults and didn't care, they're only cooperating now because they are being forced to.

They have always known. They put their own ideology ahead of the health of real patients, ahead of the health of children. Thank goodness they have bowed to pressure, thank goodness for this sunlight, but it should not have taken this. Those poor children have effectively been sacrificed to the TRA gods. I am angry and I am heartbroken on their behalf.

This might be a stupid question, but will Cass herself be doing this piece of work as an extension of the original review? (It would have been her doing it had they been submitted when requested.)

However, Cass is a member of the CYP Gender Dysphoria Research Oversight Board that will be responsible for the governance.
