Any word on what the Conservatives think about the Cass Review?

I've been looking for a statement and can't find anything....thought Kemi Badenoch might have commented. Has anyone seen anything?

Rishi Sunak argued on Wednesday that Cass’s review was “very supportive of the direction of travel” set out by the government in urging more caution on transition in young people. The prime minister told LBC that the Cass review was “broadly in agreement with the direction of travel that the government is taking on this which is to exercise extreme caution on these issues”.

Badenoch's busy trying to prevent us having any means of enforcing basic human rights.

Like the right not to have acid thrown in your face by someone who should not have been here? Those rights?

Or do you really, really think we should keep everyone who comes here regardless? All those single blokes with deep pockets or sharp elbows that mean we don't have more resources to take women, children, families, the elderly or the sick from the over-crowded refugee camps, which is what we should be doing.

The reasuring thing about Kemi is she seems to actually undertstand safe-guarding.

Sunak’s got that a bit back to front. It’s very clear that the Tories are following Cass, not the other way round.

Trying to take the heat out of this by staying quiet is the right thing to do.

Hopefully there's work going on behind the scenes, stopping all government funding for groups and working on legal changes to legislation / guidance that's enabled this ideology to harm children.

The Tories were obviously concerned enough to set the Cass Review in motion. They probably needed to see the evidence and expert recommendations from the interim report before they could start to take action. Isn’t the whole point of commissioning a report about a subject that you don’t fully understand that you then act upon the recommendations once made?

What they think and whether the Tories will actually do something are probably two different things.

After all, fairness and safety in sport could have been something easy for the Tories to do. No funding for sports where someone who has gone through male puberty can compete in women's teams, for example.
