Feminism: Sex and gender discussions
Westfacing · 05/04/2024 16:15

I bet a woman turning up in skin-tight leather trousers with a huge comically-sized penis bulging out the front wouldn't be allowed in a court room.

VerityUnreasonble · 05/04/2024 16:59

Genuinely wondering how long it would take for me to get sent home from work if I showed up with giant silicon "breast forms" and huge over drawn drag lipstick on.

I'm assuming they would think I was having a mental health crisis and put me on sick leave in the first instance?

Dumbledoreslemonsherbets · 05/04/2024 17:12

All the female employees falling under the PD office should buy these and wear them to work. After all, it's alright for one it's alright for all, right?

So offensive to all the female employees.

heathspeedwell · 05/04/2024 10:55

It's a uniquely male perspective to think that dressing in that way is attractive.

I'm male and that is not attractive.

GeorgeOrwellsTurningGrave · 05/04/2024 17:47

So women get policed regarding appropriate court attire even when dressed normally - but a man can show up in comedy drag? Got it.

SidewaysOtter · 05/04/2024 18:36

DdraigGoch · 05/04/2024 17:31

I'm male and that is not attractive.

Maybe not to you, but to a lot of men it does seem to be. The porn aesthetic wouldn't be so popular if it wasn't what a sizeable chunk of men wanted!

It also seems to be deemed attractive by transwomen, as that is so often the look they go for.

PaperWalkAndTalk · 05/04/2024 18:54

I'm still of the opinion that the Canadian teacher did it on purpose to be unsackable, and I wonder if this chap is doing something similar, is he hoping to win cases easier because judges will be sympathetic?

PaperWalkAndTalk · 05/04/2024 19:01

Also it said he has a GoFundMe... for a new car!

Is this all just a grift to get people to buy him a new car?

JanesLittleGirl · 05/04/2024 19:20

I can't wait for the John Grisham version.

Either that or he’s chasing the Malaga Airport dragon.

bluebellsandspring · 05/04/2024 19:33

I'd love to see the reaction if the female lawyers turned up in similar attire with identical make up.

ArabellaScott · 05/04/2024 21:33

DdraigGoch · 05/04/2024 17:31

I'm male and that is not attractive.

It's not supposed to be.

Many men with this paraphilia enjoy humiliation.

JanesLittleGirl · 05/04/2024 22:19

Bloody hell! You could have somebody's eye out with that!

'Successful' attorney of 20 years crowd funding for a car.

Yes!! I thought that too.

The photo looks like something BoiledBeetle would put into an AI photo generator asking “give me the most offensive photo you can of a man pretending to be a woman with enormous prosthetic breasts”.

👍🏼

ChampagneCommunist · 05/04/2024 22:51

My next hearing (I'm a lawyer, not a criminal) is in about 2 weeks.

Just enough time to shop for my new wardrobe.

misscockerspaniel · 06/04/2024 15:54

Kier Starmer - is this what a woman is?
Angela Rayner - is this what a woman is?
Ian Hislop - is this what a woman is?
Same question to any mansplainer who is usually only too keen to jump onto threads.

StellaOlivetti · 06/04/2024 15:59

I am in court on Monday. Who dares me?

AI is a prude

Appropriate clothes for the workplace? Court no less.

A misogynistic parody of femaleness, played out in public space and lauded as path-breaking by progressives. We are deeper and deeper into the Age of Endarkenment.

BezMills · 06/04/2024 19:38

The Enshitenment

ArabellaScott · 06/04/2024 20:17

😂

UltraLiteLife · 06/04/2024 20:26

TV dramas shape my expectation of the appearance of sex dolls.

These clothing and make-up choices approximate to that, and at the more budget end.

For all the support that the PD has, has anybody ever asked women who attend the courthouse if they find the appearance parodic, or something that supports a particular view of women.
