'Successful' attorney of 20 years crowd funding for a car.

NotBadConsidering · 05/04/2024 12:04

The photo looks like something BoiledBeetle would put into an AI photo generator asking “give me the most offensive photo you can of a man pretending to be a woman with enormous prosthetic breasts”.

When my sister was small, she was diagnosed with a heart complaint. A huge fuss was made by my parents about how delicate she was and how she had to be protected from other children. She used to punch other kids and tell them that they weren't allowed to hit her because of her heart. She got away with it too.

This has very similar vibes. (BTW, sister turned out to have a very minor heart defect which healed as she grew and needed no surgery).

Sorry but the idea of your sister punching kids to keep them away because of her delicate heart really made me chuckle. Sorry.

Your right, OP, imagine a 70 year old actual woman showing up to work like that!

And thus proving again that EVERYONE knows who's male & who's female.

Maybe another that thinks women organise along a hierarchy based on cup size 🙄

Are you saying that we don't? Why didn't someone tell me?

@boiledbeetle
Get on with it!

heathspeedwell · 05/04/2024 12:19

It's concerning to think that this man is in a position of power over some extremely vulnerable people. If he's being that overtly sexual in a busy courtroom, I wouldn't want to be behind closed doors with him.

Fenlandia · 05/04/2024 12:23

I was going to have a couple of boiled eggs with my lunch but that photo has put me right off.

EsmaCannonball · 05/04/2024 13:11

Could it be any clearer that these men do not want to become women but rather the most sexist, misogynistic, bigoted man's idea of what it is to be a woman? Sexual exhibitionists get off on reducing members of the public to characters in their particular sex fantasy. Now if they make people scared or uncomfortable they can accuse those people of small-mindedness or transphobia.

PonyPatter44 · 05/04/2024 13:15

What a ridiculous man.

Userxyd · 05/04/2024 13:21

There's nothing here that says feminine to me. He's not trying to look attractive or feminine, he's trying to look aggressive, bold, fetishised and confrontational- so as a trial lawyer that works just fine.
He'll be getting a huge power kick from people being forced to accept his appearance as well as a sexual kick.
It's utterly ridiculous that anyone thinks this is him genuinely trying to look like a woman. I agree with PPs the boobs look fake too.
He's a man in drag with strap on boobs who gets to stand up in court and argue his case trying to force his version of events on people - all just a huge attention seeking cosplay drama!

MmePoppySeedDefage · 05/04/2024 13:27

Think of the number of people for whom the scales are falling from their eyes, even as they cover them to avoid seeing him.

TimeandMotion · 05/04/2024 13:28

The whole article is weirdly reverential. This bit for example:

She also proved she is not to be trifled with during an exchange with a journalist outside following the proceedings.
When challenged that her client had been caught on camera, beaming Mueller quickly became steely.
'She's innocent of course,' Mueller insisted. 'My client has plead not guilty and she is not guilty, how about that?'
It is the kind of seasoned response that could only have come from her two decades' experience working as a representative for underprivileged clients accused of misdemeanors in the small town of Vashon.

That’s not a clever legal response at all. It’s snarky and over-defensive and doesn’t make the obvious legal point that everyone is innocent until proven guilty.

I’m half wondering if this is a deliberate piss take - The Mail have done similar with photo captions on Eddie Izzard paparazzi shots…

OnandOnforHoursandHours · 05/04/2024 14:46

That's the very definition of 'breasting boobily', isn't it? Tsk.

MagpiePi · 05/04/2024 14:49

Did he learn to put on make up at clown school?

TinselAngel · 05/04/2024 14:52

He must be part of Dr Hayton's school of thought, that breast size denotes status.

HermioneWeasley · 05/04/2024 14:53

likewise I have never seen any woman in finance at any level of seniority dress as Philip/Pips Bunce does.

why does nobody say “no” to these men?

theDudesmummy · 05/04/2024 15:00

"My client has pled guilty and she's not guilty, how about that?". Wow blinding legal argument there counsellor!

theDudesmummy · 05/04/2024 15:02

Oh dear Eddie/Suze, what a prat you look.

I already have a stomach upset today. This hasn't helped.

Molamola · 05/04/2024 15:41

I used to live in Seattle and worked in the legal sector.

A colleague once told me how his attorney girlfriend was called out by a judge in open court for, according to the judge, being "dressed like a whore" because she was wearing yoga pants after being asked to leave her sick bed at home for an emergency court appearance on behalf of a client.

And although standards of court dress are less formal than in the UK, I never saw a female attorney show even a hint of cleavage.

SidewaysOtter · 05/04/2024 15:48

We just know that’s a man because no woman would dare dress like that in a professional setting. I got told once that as a woman I should have a “conservative outfit” for an interview, which included “muted tones, appropriate necklines and covered legs”.

Now, I don’t hold with that sort of thing at all, but neither do I rock up to any job, let alone one in a notoriously conservative profession, looking like a wank-bank fantasy.

Only a man could not only get away with that but be lauded for being stunning and brave Hmm

Allthegoodnamesarechosen · 05/04/2024 15:50

The attorney claims to have had a positive influence on ‘many juvenile offenders’ they defended, saying that they don’t reoffend and turn up in court again.

I think this demonstrates that the law can be an effective deterrent 🤭😉

In the dark, on a rocking chair. Wearing boxing gloves.
