Big news. Unfortunately as with previous ill thought out laws the SNP will ignore the concerns of anyone, no matter their professional status.

I predict that this is gonna end with the SNP and Green MSPs barricaded in Hollyrood and Yusless giving his version of Mel Gibson's "freedom" speech from the rooftop. Alex Cole Hamilton will be curled, foetus style, in the corner whimpering "but, but how am I going to tell Beth? She's got knives and baseball bats"

I see that Maggie Chapman still has selective comprehension skills, that's some master class in ignoring the entire submission except the obvious disclaimer that abusive practices are wrong 🙄 nothing new there as Maggie (babies are born without a sex) Chapman was involved with the GRR bill fiasco.
Still a small glimmer of light being the judicial review coming for this bill

It's good they are highlighting this; I'm pretty sure most legislation passed under the SNP falls foul of these requirements!

Ideally some future prominent submission will drive the point home that gender dysphoria is itself sometimes the upshot of repressed homosexuality, and that “affirming” a would-be lesbian who is just desperately trying to escape the male gaze to become a “heterosexual” “man”, is itself a form of conversion therapy.

There were submissions from LGBA and Gay Men's Network that will have made exactly these points.

I read the godawful consultation. It's just jaw dropping bullshit that could.have been written by a very confident 13 year old.

The Bill opts to describe LGBTQIA plus people and does not define "plus', for one example, where most other relevant legislation uses 'LGBT'. And goes downhill from there.

Charitably, the glaring omissions and melted Duplo-like structure may just have been written by someone whose ambition far exceeds their capability. I seem to be applying Hanlon's razor a LOT lately.
