It is, of course, totally wrong that Chapman has been on the receiving end of abuse. Absolutely abhorrent that she's received threats.

And I am absolutely astonished to read her complain about a 'chilling effect', the week before the Hate Crime Act comes into force, which has been criticised across the board for the 'chilling effect' it's having on public (and private) life in Scotland, particularly on women.

Maggie Chapman is a leading proponent of sexism in politics, she's just wilfully ignoring her part in it along with the rest of her ilk.

She is one of the most dangerous politicians out there. On top of everything she complains of, she has heaped much, much worse trouble and fear on the women of Scotland by writing them out of existance, removing their single-sex spaces and lying to their children!
She's trying to scatter her tracks and rewrite history - pretending she supported women all along!

Personpeeps is a very strange woman. She, obviously, should not be subjected to threats. If only there was a new law, say coming in on Monday, that offered extra protection to women against this type of sexist nonsense. Oh well.

I have no doubt that MC has been the target of sexist comments about her appearance as all women in the public eye and in society in general tend to be.

It's not right. It shouldn't be acceptable and that holds true even if she's an objectively terrible person.

At some point it may click that this is because of her sex, not because of some womanly essence. But I won't hold my breath.

She could have a look at some of the TRA twitter accounts to see how her fellow travellers comment on the physical appearance of those female people who dare step out of line.

Nah, Mags is the one not wearing a tie 😃. I don't think she looks like a man. I don't understand why it would bother her if someone thought she was a bit masculine. It's possibly the intent, the people saying that are unlikely being complementary. I don't agree with the frankly batshit stuff she says but she shouldn't be insulted or threatened.
