KJK’s insane rant

Kjk’s decision to attack everyone who is not her lapdog is increasingly destructive. It looks like Can-sg put on a great conference. Those doctors who have spoken up have risked their careers. Kjk has become famous and has started a business from LWS. She has benefited way more than any of these doctors.

Her work could be powerful if she just stopped attacking everyone else. But these days she is a demagogue and causes more harm than good by capitalising on vulnerable and timid women and telling them that they need her to speak for them.

Dr Az Hakeem, late of the Tavistock and now in private practice, attended the CAN-SG conference and he states, based on his extensive clinical experience, that Gender Dysphoria doesn’t exist. In fact, in his book Detrans he states:

'Today the abbreviated term ‘trans’ is actually an umbrella term encompassing the more specific, but less used, very different and distinct categories of transsexualism, transvestism, fetishistic transvestism, autogynaephilia and in children ROGD (Rapid Onset Gender Dysphoria). Later in the book, I will explain why I think ROGD is actually a form of youth subculture. I described each of these categories in greater detail in my first book TRANS: Exploring Gender Identity and Gender Dysphoria…'

He goes into greater detail on each of the elements described above in the book. So KJK is not insanely ranting, she’s agreeing with experienced practitioners like Dr Hakeem.

Whatever possesed you to label a woman insane on a very public and monitored forum because she has a different view point to you?

That has the echoes of centuries of the patriarchy trying to sideline women who dont conform.

She has valid points.

You dont agree with her.

Surely you could have thought of a title that asked why KJK was questioning the conference (assuming you weren't aware of her previously statement opinions re treatment of children)

Or if you did know her opinion, why slur her and not just ask does it help to question the views of the conference?

Using the title that will get picked up by all the usual suspects to add to their stockpile of anti KJK quoteable quotes is baffling.

FWR isn't a tabloid that needs to create shrieking headlines to attrack readers.

Its fine that you disagree with her, but wouldn't it be a bit more ethical rather than having your badmouthing captured in a FWR title, ask MNHQ to change it to something more rational. The recently changed the title of another thread to make it more accurate.

I haven't read the full thread yet (time issue). But I did want to make the point, if it hasn't been made, that it was KJK's "Woman Adult Human Female" posters and discussion that Keira Bell cited as making her reconsider transition. She has been around a long time. She has refused to give ground for a long time. And in that time has supported many many people. Further, she has held the olive branch out many times too to other campaigners (I'm thinking Julie Bindel in particular) and been rebuffed. She doesn't often show her distress, but occasionally it comes through. It does in this video. So many of us have so much to thank her for.

I think that the OP's claim that they are no longer attended and that they are no longer relevant can be deemed as evidence free and driven by whatever motivated them to post this thread. Which was not good faith.

sorry this is a bit off-topic, but can anyone tell me why KJK is banned from MN? Most women here seem to be sharing most if not all of her views

But I agree with you OP this anger is misdirected.

The people at that conference were the whistleblowers from the Tavi Anna Hutchinson, Sonia Appleby.
Women who have put their profession and livelihood on the line.

Kjk is in a position where she doesn't have to negotiate organisational change from within, the rooms you have to get into, years of being professionally sidelined, trying to get the attention of people who will take you seriously and stand with you.
It's been a war of attrition for the mental health professionals fighting from within the system. They're making progress, they've achieved some good things, but they have to maintain professional credibility to keep going. They have to be more measured and cautious than kjk needs to be.

They can't make YouTube videos and get a following and stay within the professional discourse.
They are trying to walk the line of professionals not activists.

Kjk should give them some slack.
She's playing a different role.
A no compromise activist role which keeps that pressure on those inside the creaking institution trying to force the change.

She should hold the line. Criticise the positions taken to keep the pressure, but give the people who have been professionally putting themselves on the line for years some slack.
They're doing something she doesn't have to do.
And vice versa.

I don't know but my guess is she wasn't willing to compromise the language that she used, which there is still policing of on MN. It's not true Free Speech here unfortunately.

She was banned in the before times - language is still fairly tightly moderated here but before the Forstater case it was worse.

KJK isn’t known for picking her words in deference to transactivists, so you can imagine how being a Mumsnetter worked out for her!

Tbf, some of the nicest, kindest posters also got booted (eg LangCleg) just for being persistent at pointing out the way coercive control operates and how safeguarding must always be rigorous/have no sacred castes (eg doctors).

But yes, the vast majority of us agree that males do not belong in female spaces, sports or services (not even the pretty ones) and that child transition = vegan cats.
