Haven't seen this posted yet but sounds positive, I don't have a subscription but went to airplane mode as soon as I opened it and it worked.

"Jacqueline Eustache-Brinio, an LR senator who led the working group behind the report, concluded that “fashion plays a big role” in the rise of gender reassignment treatments.

If this factor and the risks involved are underestimated, she added, “the sexual transition of young people will be considered as one of the greatest ethical scandals in the history of medicine”."

How many reports are there now saying this? How high is that heap?

Anybody with the power to intervene actually doing anything to protect children? Fuck all? Yes. Thought so.

Unlike the many scandals in recent Irish history [lots of them were taking place elsewhere, and not all under the aegis of the catholic church] this current wave of unethical behaviour is in full sight, exposed as abusive and widely condemned contemporaneously.
So there's no defence of nobody knew/everybody knew but went along with it/men in frocks made us do it etc etc. Well maybe the men in frocks one is still valid, just different frocks...

Sex reassignment surgery could also be banned for minors.

Mastectomies for 14-year-olds are allowed in France according to this article.

https://www.politico.com/news/2023/10/06/us-europe-transgender-care-00119106

But French doctors offering transgender care said the guidelines aren’t impeding access. Children are eligible for hormone treatments with parental permission at any age and for surgical removal of breasts from age 14. However, hormones are usually prescribed around age 15 or 16 and breast surgery is usually performed after 16, said Laetitia Martinerie, a doctor in the pediatric endocrinology and diabetology department at the Robert-Debré University Hospital in Paris.

What happened to parents saying "No" to their children?

Aye. They all just watch, and do nothing.

"Children are eligible for hormone treatments with parental permission at any age and for surgical removal of breasts from age 14."

I could be wrong, but I believe they will avoid it being a scandal in the medical profession by focusing on (my bolding) the words above. They will conveniently forget how parents were pressured to never say no (some even threatened with/taken to court). And those medical professionals will slither out of being in the cross hairs.

I sincerely hope I am wrong and they do pay for it.
